I’m not abandoning this place entirely - I still get value from the tweets of brands such as tech accounts & some personal ones even though most people rarely post now.
But I’m here a lot less these days & you’re more likely to find me on BlueSky - marcsettle.Bsky.social. 💙🦋

.@BBCRD's television production LUTs have been released and can now be used for free. A full set of SDR to HDR, HDR to SDR and HDR to HDR LUTs plus LUTs for testing equipment, generating cinema releases etc.

If the glasses captured video LANDSCAPE (like our eyes are) she wouldn’t have to move her head left and right so much…ditto for the people filming while holding their phones vertically.

Another good iPhone video camera option that is adding a lot of nice updates…
It’s only taken THREE YEARS but the “next train” display is *finally* working again.
Well done, @tfl .
@TfL is there a timescale for fixing this display at Wembley Park, broken for *weeks* now? It can be very useful, telling passengers when a Met is due & therefore if it’s worth getting off a Jubilee line as the Met should get to Finchley Road first.

Always a must-read on Apple release day.
Viticci gives the definitive review every year:
I've been working on this for 3 months, and here it is:
My iOS and iPadOS 27 review: macstories.net/stories/ios-a…
Customizable Liquid Glass, iPadOS, 15 system apps, and a big Siri AI chapter. And no, it's not a Snow Leopard release.
Enjoy!
Craig really should have said “heeeeeere’s Johnny” #appleevent
Does this mean that if I cause some minor cosmetic damage to my phone, I would get a *better* price than if it were spotless?
Much as I love Arsenal, I cannot defend this.
I dread to think how many people have received this email and the really terrible spelling error. 🤦🏼
Most people will, inevitably, shoot videos in portrait.
iMovie can’t export portrait video, without bars in a 16:9 frame either side of the 9:16 video or unless they know an unintuitive workaround.
A lot of people won’t be happy to have edited their holiday videos in iMovie.
I’ve literally had that written on takeaway coffee cups 😂
And I also once had a letter addressed to Mark Withersea
I hate that I don't know if DROP is being used here to mean "no longer offer" or the very opposite "start to offer" as both work in the context of the headline.
Following a claim that Apple is dropping silver as an iPhone 18 Pro color, another leaker has shown a silver component. And suggests that it's another popular color that will be dropped. By @WGallagher

When the features listed are a) a new chip; b) heart rate sensor getting “always-on” support; c) a ceramic case option…i’d argue that this is in fact only one new *feature.*

ITS 2026 AND WHEN YOURE IN UPPERCASE IOS STILL DOESNT KNOW HOW ITS MEANT TO USE APOSTROPHES yet they’re fine when you’re in lower case where it’s not a problem.
Why won’t a relatively simple automation work in iOS 27? (yes I’ve filed feedback on it)
It’s hardly @mattcassinelli or @stephenrobles levels of complexity and yet it doesn’t work 😢
IPhone photos don’t do it justice - but watching it Spain beats watching it on TV.
This quoted post is unavailable.
I guess it’s better than the spate of Farage AI adverts from a few months ago, but the market for this one - for moving troops around - must be very very small?
These are all *brilliant* names for places in the UK - foreigners would barely believe they are genuine 😂
Love how this guy @Redfoxi has gone bonkers viral.
He usually tweets once a month (if that…!) and usually sees barely any interaction.
He’s going to get the shock of his life when he next logs in…
