Excited for this, as @Waymo is an excellent experience. I do have mixed feelings, though, about taking away jobs for drivers who depend on this income tbh, and so I can only hope there's enough work for everyone (similar feelings when rideshare apps started to cut into the taxi industry). What do you think about #Waymo and other autonomous #rideshare solutions?
We’re bringing the magic of Waymo to Toronto! 🇨🇦 In the coming days, you’ll begin seeing Waymo’s all-electric vehicles driving through Toronto’s streets as we lay the groundwork for our ride-hailing service. Our goal is to begin serving riders in 2028. Sign up for future updates: waymo.com/waymo-in-canada

Mark Zuckerberg was 22 when Yahoo offered $1 billion for Facebook, and his own team wanted him to take it. He went to Steve Jobs instead. Jobs told him to go to India. In the video below, Zuckerberg tells India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi what happened next. "This is a story that I haven't told publicly and very few people know." Facebook was 2 years old, with about 10 million users. Zuckerberg said no to Yahoo. It was a tough patch, he says. A lot of people wanted to buy Facebook and thought he should sell. So he went to one of his mentors, Steve Jobs. Jobs told him to visit the temple in India he had gone to while figuring out what Apple should be. Zuckerberg traveled for almost a month. It "reinforced for me the importance of what we were doing." For early employees with stock, a $1 billion sale is a life-changing payout. Saying no means years of waiting, maybe for nothing. Within a year of saying no to Yahoo, his entire management team had quit. He never sold. Today Meta is worth over $1.4 trillion. Yahoo offered $1 billion. Steve Jobs offered a temple. Would you have taken $1 billion at 22, or the ticket to India? Save the video, and follow for more money stories from behind the world's biggest names.

Thank you for all the interaction yesterday and today on this platform, tied to local politics and celebrity soapboxes. Some get it -- and we've had civil tete-a-tetes -- but many are just looking to argue or berate, which I don't have the time or patience for.

So how will Brad make you feel safer? Further suppress Torontonians and CDN's rights to freedom of expression and protest to oppose the war crimes being committed in your name? Maybe use your platform to speak up for those being genocided, and you'll feel safer. 🤷‍♀️

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course. If you pay $200 to go to a concert, you shouldn’t be subjected to someone’s unsolicited political opinions in the opening act. This is what James Hatfield was referring to. It’s ok that we don’t agree on this.

you honestly can’t see the hypocrisy? everyone is entitled to voice their opinion or keep it to themselves. why should an artist or an athlete be told to shut up and…? funny how it always seems to be when they voice certain opinions and not others.
