“When the new Congress is sworn in, a majority of the Democrats in both chambers will be J Street-endorsed. That is a remarkable marker of how much the politics have changed. J Street is now the center of the Democratic Party’s approach to Israel and Palestine.”
"Last night was a resounding victory for the politics J Street has championed since our founding. In an election with so much at stake for American democracy, we are proud to have supported a record number of candidates who share our commitment to Israel’s future, democracy and a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” said J Street President @JeremyBenAmi
“Voters delivered a clear rejection of the Trump administration’s reckless policies at home and abroad, including its disastrous war of choice in Iran. They made clear they want a different direction for America and a different approach in the Middle East – one that has too often failed Americans, Israelis and Palestinians alike.”
Ben-Ami continued: "Candidates like Susan Collins and Mike Lawler were among the most prominent champions of the old approach to Israel politics. AIPAC and its allies spent aggressively to protect them and voters chose candidates backed by J Street instead.
“When the new Congress is sworn in, a majority of the Democrats in both chambers will be J Street-endorsed. That is a remarkable marker of how much the politics have changed. J Street is now the center of the Democratic Party’s approach to Israel and Palestine. Our job now is to turn that new political reality into a new American policy – one grounded in diplomacy, democracy and the security and rights of both Israelis and Palestinians.”

My theory is that the Khomeini memes really got to him, so he decided to go full Saddam Hussein and shave off his beard.

Hate me all you want. I personally think that it’s morally abominable to celebrate the victory of a party that orchestrated, funded, and sustained the most heinous live-streamed genocide in modern history.
The most ‘progressive’ public figures in that party continue to condemn legal and righteous Palestinian resistance.
All of it feels to me like dancing on the graves of martyrs.

It took American people less than two years to completely whitewash the Democrats’ facilitation of the Gaza genocide and put them back in power.
How quickly people forget is beyond me. The world is too scary.
Out of the frying pan into the fire…Israel is ecstatic.
