Rob Reiner spent decades defending democracy and fighting for equality - even when it wasn’t easy or popular. At a moment when silence is safer, his willingness to speak out is a reminder that protecting democracy requires courage. RETWEET to honor Reiner's legacy of justice ♥️

Dear Parents—your child doesn’t need to be the smartest in the class, the best on the field, or the most talented in the room. But they do need to be teachable. We’ve raised a generation that can Google every answer, but too many are forgetting how to listen, respect, and learn. Being teachable isn’t about grades or intelligence—it’s about humility. It’s about realizing you don’t know everything and being willing to grow when someone tries to help you. As parents, we don’t need to raise perfect kids. We need to raise kids who can take feedback without falling apart. Who can apologize. Who can show respect even when they disagree. Who can be corrected without becoming combative. Because teachability will take them further than talent ever will.

When I was a middle school tech coach, I created this Halloween Digital Escape Room that most of the 7th graders in our district would do on Halloween. All the work is done so I'm passing it on in case anyone would like it 😃 drive.google.com/drive/folde… Takes 45-60 minutes to get through all the levels. All the links and answer key is included above. Hope your kids have as much fun as ours did #edtech #edchat #teachers #teachertwitter

“The goal of reading instruction is to enable students to look at written words in text and recognize their pronunciation and meanings automatically. How does this happen?” This week in my Literacy course for preservice teachers @TrentUSoE, we will be taking a close look at phonics instruction and the importance of explicit, systematic teaching of letter-sound correspondences as part of a comprehensive literacy program! This article from Dr. Linnea Ehri is a must read for preservice teachers and current teachers, too! wsra.org/assets/Conference/C…

What a powerful quote and on point with my new mission this year to focus on the Language and Literacy training of pre-service teachers in Ontario Schools of Education! I want to help ensure new teachers have the knowledge, understanding AND skills they need to confidently support their future students in reading, spelling and writing (and don’t have to learn it while in the job like I did). Strong learning outcomes begin with strong and effective teacher training!!!⭐️

Three things you will see today in successful organizations with heatlhy cultures. 1. Everyone in the organization wants everyone else to experience success. 2. People give others permission to help them be successful. 3. People take care of each other with an “I got you” mindset and behavior. #Culturize

🚨Most kids don’t know how learning works. 🧠 So I’m starting my 7th grade class with a 10-day crash course on memory, retrieval, metacognition, myths, and why real learning is hard—and that’s the point. It’s not fun. It’s foundational. Blog here 👇📖 open.substack.com/pub/solint…
