My biggest achievements as a coach are winning the quadruple, lifting the County Cup without conceding a goal, winning six County Cups in a row, and in my 10 years of coaching, I’ve probably lost possession fewer than a handful of times.

Session topic | playing out from the back
Rules: Teams are locked in 2 zones. If the ball enters the second zone, the white team must maintain possession until all 3 attackers are set. Once in the second zone, the ball restarts with the coach passing it to the GK

1st set 11v11
2nd set 8v8

Diagonal 9v9 Match
Team shape: GK, 2 CB, 3 CM, RM & ST
⏰ 3 x 6 min
Objective:
The session focuses on *diagonal play*, highlighting diagonal options, passes, and overloads. This is one of my CORE principle in poss.
I DON’T share my core sessions on here, but enjoy this 1!
An 7v7 coached game
Played on half of the pitch, with white team defending in a 4-2.
The play starts with the GK. A double whistle indicates a change of point for attackers, at which point the coach will call a diff colour ball. The team will then attack from a new position
The SSG 8v8 +4 GKs is a favorite drill among players.
It's a fantastic exercise that effectively targets finishing, counter-pressing, and attacking transitions.
I've used it for finishing, as it provides a unopposed and opposed finishing, along with different angles
Training Session:
P1: (SSG) focusing - building up the attack in team shape
P2. Directional Games - focusing on creating the attack
P3. Conditioned Games - focusing on finishing the attack and defensive unit
These are core exercises to remind the players of the principles

Coaching focus:
This exercise focuses on teamwork, aiming to apply pressure and regain poss. It emphasises the importance of collective pressing while upholding high standards throughout the activity.
We played really well in the first half, but in the second half, it seemed like they were focused on Atlético, the tempo was lowered #ArsenalNewcastle
