A special day as we welcomed Health for Life’s SEEDS project for ‘Down Memory Lane’, looking back at some special Derry City FC memories from over the decades at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.
Plenty of nostalgia as the old shirts, archive footage, photographs, programmes and memorabilia from over the years brought back plenty of memories and got people chatting about the glory days.
We also heard from some Derry City FC legends as they shared their own memories of the club through the years.
Thanks to everyone who helped bring the day together, and to everyone who came along and shared their memories with us.
Congratulations to the Under 15 lads on there cup win today. A fantastic goal from Oisin O'Hare to win it. Well done to all players and coaches 💪🏆

U15s into Final 🏆👏 We'd like to extend huge congratulations to City's Under 15s who secured a spot today in the final of the Michael Hayes Cup - the main national cup competition in that age category.
Mark McChrystal and Colin Logue travelled to Dublin this morning and watched their side take a 3-1 lead in today's semi-final against Cork City with just a couple of minutes to go.
Disaster struck late in the game as the Leesiders scored twice, while the young Candystripes missed a late penalty.
The Derry lads showed their resolve in extra time however, and wrapped up a memorable 4-3 win.
They will play either St Pats or Shelbourne in next month's final.
Really well done lads!

Grass and a Fanzone 😍 The final touches are now being put in place for Friday night's eagerly-anticipated return home to the Brandywell.
A huge amount of work has gone into the upgrade and we believe supporters will be impressed with what they see.
The 'Fan Zone' will be fully operational from Friday night as well with the popular 'Pints and Pies' returning, and the official Merchandise shop re-opening as well.
Tickets are on sale for what will be an historic match for the club and we hope to have another big crowd getting behind the side.
The players will have their first session on it tomorrow and we aim to have their reactions!

“Manchester United cut corners…and so they get punished. And they deserve to get punished…”
Roy Keane is adamant. His old side can be great in-possession, with the ball at their feet - they can have this all they want, with abundance. But winning requires the dirty work out-of-possession. And that dirty work must be delivered with detail intact. The small movements to close down space. The aggressive last step into the challenge. The desire to get to the ball first.
“We’re in control. We’re in charge. This is our pitch. This is our game.”
It’s skill wrapped in attitude…
Winning in high performance sport is often unpleasant. It’s little moments of theft, it’s unabashed selfishness…it’s even a modicum of violence (in context). Now, that’s not running around like a headless chicken…but it is doing everything with high levels of certainty and aggression…to completion.
It’s like (but not the same as) those who are ambitious in the workplace. Just as those in high performance sport have to attack the game…so you have to attack the business. No, you’re not crunching anyone in a 50/50…but you have to make damned sure you’re getting the detail right in a pitch for new business. There’s no room for cutting corners…otherwise your prospective client will punish you by going elsewhere.
Attack the game…attack the business…attack the detail…
Roy Keane only knows one identity. From head to feet and from feet to head his identity was to do what was required to win. To attack. To steal. To aggressively and assertively rule the pitch.
That’s football…that’s sport…and that’s so often business…
