This is the most important thing I have ever written.
Thank you for all that spoke with me - read- contributed before the final product.

If there's one thing playing riftbound has changed in me is how I react to situations to make sure people are having an enjoyable time playing.
At one piece I literally had a boyfriend basically communicating my had at locals and I knew it wasn't malicious. He'd say he has $100 cards in his hand and the old me would be annoyed but I'm at locals to learn.
So when I heard of riftbound creator program people who are selected because they are trying to make the game a better place, I am annoyed when I hear about one complaining at locals and making snide remarks
When losing to star-crossed etc. it situations like this that make people want to stop playing or going to locals where riftbound is trying to take this toxicity we've had in the card games before.
We're going to lose to unbeatable cards. We're going to lose to fizz starcrossed, we're going to lose to double defy, we're going to lose to bellows watcher, we're going to lose to missing a turn one play.
There is no reason to take this frustration out on your opponents playing the game. I'm actually so disappointed to have heard this about this creator because I know they try their best and if may have been a bad day. We're allowed to have those.
But I think if you make, making riftbound a better place your thing, and being a nice person your personality, then no matter what you have to stick to your mantra.
I'm the first to catch myself when those feelings and being snide like I was when I'm younger and put a chokehold on it. I've done it once playing riftbound. I've also gone over end game scenarios with my OPPs asking how I lost , could I have won.
You have to be the best person you can even when no one is looking. In Hartford, I had a spectator pass and in the 0-2 bracket vs an OPP in the Friday event, we played the Fiora mirror. He didn't have Aurora I did. He told me how he took the bus from jersey into New York everyday to work, this was his first card game cause he loved league. I know how hard it is to get into card games growing up with parents who couldn't buy singles. I connected with him working hard cause that was my parents. I reached into my backpack and I put three cards facedown and I said I'd like to gift these to you. He picked up three Chinese dazzzling aurora and did every thing he could to give them back to me and I said it would be bad luck and disrespectful to give them
Back so he gave me a poro coin.
I've told this story to less then ten friends and first time online. I know not everyone can do this nor do I expect anyone to, but I wouldn't be on my card game journey of others hadn't shown kindness to me, drove me, lent me cards, helped me get better. Yes I own a store, so that helps, but again. The kindness and the change starts with us.
I haven't been perfect all my life but I'm trying really hard now with these games and as a father.
Thanks for reading and be nice to your opponents.
Every interaction I've had with this guy whether it's at One Piece, Lorcana or Pokemon . He's a real one and does it for the love of the game.
RIFTBOUND OP & RIOT. THANK YOU for outlining your cheating framework. Accidentally making a mistake is not cheating. Intent matters. I've had so many players make mistakes against me, and I have had my fair share of mistakes too
It's easy to sit at home with a 32 oz bag of doritos and be like "nah I'd never make that mistake or I'd never do that." But reality is more complicated and shit happens
It's hilarious to me that we have players pretending that they are confused why me and certain others aren't banned, while there are players banned for actual cheating. Geez, I don't know why we aren't banned, maybe it's because we DID NOT CHEAT. No malicious intent, no premeditation.

Also my allegations are actually ridiculous.
First when I won nationals, certain people said "I paid off the Blackbeard player." I appreciate the fact y'all think I'm Jeff Bezos, but I never made over 100k profit from One Piece prior to nationals, and I was in school not working. I know the patreon was good, but I blew money going 0-5 in Europe with Rebecca. This was ridiculous.
Then the next instance was "I read Twitch chat mid-game for advice," on a deck that I just won nationals with. I also lost in finals of that tournament, and then won One Piece day the next week(offline with zero twitch chat btw) with the same deck. No disrespect to my audience, but I'm not going to twitch chat for advice. I just won nationals with this deck💀
Then the other two are real mistakes. I added 4C Rebecca off 1C Rebecca ON STREAM. I got it mixed with leader ability, I apologize for this. Let's put our heads together for a second though. If I'm trying to cheat and secure a bag, am I really doing it on Rebecca lmao. Not only has this deck never gotten a top 8 during that meta, but I was probably the only guy on the deck in the tournament. Let's be for real
Then lastly I misused purple 7C Borsalino's effect ON STREAM (another card no one plays), and I used it as activate main, but it's actually end of turn(this is relevant because I can abuse it for more don with 7Sakazuki). The judges rewinded the play (because it's the easiest rewind), and everything was good. I misread the card, and legit added it the night before the tournament.
1st One Piece Locals since OP04
Yes that's zero 4
2-1
Pudding ⭕️
Luffy Ace ❌ 2nd
ST Whitebeard ⭕️
My deck sure is pretty but looks way different then my first one piece deck
Enchante nevertheless
Sounds like a riftbound pro
1 Peter 3:14 – "But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled."
Tpci finally got me.
I dedicated 25 years of my life to this game.
Teaching the game around the Italy, raising players and building community all for nothing.
But Apparently I'm everything that is bad in this game.
The worst part, I was ready to travel for Nice because they didn't even have the dignity to notify my perma ban.
I was a target for some people working for Tpci for the past 10 years.
It happened again during the last World championship and I complain about that with a tweet that I deleted 6 hours later.
For that I got a perma ban.
I'm devastated. Pokemon is literally my life. I can't stop crying.
Good luck to everyone in Nice, I will make a goodbye post in the future.
My #dripbound and #riftfits is whenever I had to go out with my wife or go to the office 🤣
Don't know about the hat and tiger shirt I wore in Monaco but it was definitely a vibe
It's 2:15 am after thanksgiving Sunday in Canada. Your wife and kid are asleep and you set up on a table at your in-laws.
You feel the tablecloth as you layout cards and it reminds you of the same sorts of tables you laid out your collection to appreciate 20 years ago. That you played Yugioh with fake rules 15 years ago. That you practiced magic on 12 years ago. It's the sort of table you've coached Pokemon on in the past ten years.
Your dog looks up to you and groans every half an hour as if it's time for you to go to bed.
Your life is a hodgepodge of cards and your relationships are with the people in your life through these games.
You sell cards to make sure you can take care of those around you and you've been mentored by some of the industries best.
Deep down you're putting in this work so you can play more riftbound.
You work till 5 am and get up at 11am to go to a holiday card show and then come home and spend time with your family.
It's not glamorous but it's the life you asked for ❤️
All of this together is the dream
Making it work is the mission
Being able to chase it with the people you love is everything.
Passion is not about doing what you love but rather making the suffering worth it to be able to do what you love
I won game one but game two he dropped this
Seat = zauns
Trifarian = new trifarian
