As Noddy Holder might have said when his book came out: "Iiiiiiiiit's Publication Daaaaay!" Catalyst has been released on an unsuspecting world. It's my third novel, set in Sheffield, and is a thriller full of twists, with a fair bit of warmth and humour. amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08W…

Hooray! The first draft of novel number seven is now done! Now here's where the hard bit starts. #writerscommunity #AuthorsOfTwitter

I honestly can’t remember feeling this conflicted about a @SheffieldUnited signing since they brought in Terry Curran. I’ve always regarded Bamford as hugely overrated and, worse, a petty cheat. He’s going to have to do a lot to win me over, I’m afraid.

Having decided to relaunch, I love this new cover design for The Murder of Miss Perfect - the best seller of my six crime thrillers. The design comes from the creative mind of @andrewrainnie. The Murder of Miss Perfect will be released again with its new look later this week.

One night. Three very different types of #crimewriters chatting about #books. What's not to like? Come to see @JaneBettany, @TomMeadAuthor and myself at Melbourne Sporting Partnership on Friday, September 26, at 7.30pm. wegottickets.com/event/67294…

All set for a beautiful day at the @dormousebelper Belper Book Fair - on until 4pm. Come to see me at stall number 15, close to the Number 28 cafe.

The weather forecast is good, Belper is lovely and there's a book fair on! Three good reasons to come to the @dormousebelper Belper Book Fair at the Market Place on Sunday (11am-4pm). I'll be there, too - but don't let that put you off! Come to meet all the other lovely authors!

Ready for action at @BooksLeek25117 today. Pop by to Moorlands House to talk crime thrillers. Maybe even buy a book. I’m here all day! #bookfestival #crimewriters #books

I went on t'wireless @BBCRadioDerby to help spread the word about the @DerbyBookFest and @Soc_of_Authors libraries project. Give it a listen (my bit is 2:16 in) and follow the link for details of dates, plus how to book tickets. gigantic.com/meet-your-local… bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002ck…

Disregard the picture of the handsome young brute. It's not about me. It's an article in today's @derbyshire_live about the forthcoming @DerbyBookFest project with the Society of Authors to organise talks by writers in Derbyshire Libraries. Full details at gigantic.com/meet-your-local…

Still one of the most immaculate comedy sketches in the history of everything. Make it your mission today to find someone who’s never seen it before and treat them to a little slice of genius.

Ready for action at the @DerbyBookFest Museum of Making. Come and join us at the Derby Book and Craft Fair today from 10.30-4. Lots of stalls with wonderful ideas for you-know-what gifts. Never mind the weather, it’s lovely here!

Happy Thatcher Resignation Day everybody! Thirty-four years today and though the negative effects of her ruinous premiership are still with us, marking the day when she took the first honourable decision of her political life is still worth celebrating. #Thatcher

Nothing says you love someone more than the gift of a personally-signed crime thriller novel. Thankfully, help finding that perfect present is at hand. Join me at the @DerbyBookFest Book and Craft Fair this Saturday from 10.30-4 at the Museum of Making. I have the very thing.

It's the @DerbyBookFest Book and Craft Fair on Saturday at the Derby Museum of Making. The fair is open from 10.30-4 and there will be lots of stalls offering great ideas for you-know-what. It's that time of year again! I'll be there, with my novels, ready to sell and sign a few.

Delve deep into the mind of the crime writer (a dark and dangerous place!) This is going to be fun. Hope to see you there.

You’ve certainly made my weekend @DavidsBookBlurg - thank you very much for the wonderfully generous review. I’m so pleased you took a punt and, even better, that you enjoyed The 23-Day Girlfriend.

I can think of no good reason not to (especially that last bloke on the list). Thanks for the boost @DebsBookReviews

If you fancy a trip to Belper on Sunday, pop to the Market Place for the @dormousebelper Book Fair from 11-4. @JaneBettany and myself will be doing a Crime Writers' Q&A at midday, which will obviously be unmissable. We'll be at stall 19 with @TomMeadAuthor and @nickmacwrites
