Saddened and at a loss for words at the tragic passing of one of England’s finest. My thoughts are with his family at this time. RIP Thorpey, you absolute legend of a man.
How good are @MarkFosterSwim and @BeckAdlington on the #OlympicGamesParis2024 @BBCSport coverage. So refreshing to see such passion and knowledge. Obviously @clarebalding continues to excel.
Congratulations on the most amazing career @jimmy9. Staggering, simply staggering. Irreplaceable and a role model to a generation of people, let alone cricketers.

Many thanks to Mark Ilott (ex England & Essex) for spending the afternoon at Beechwood Park and inspiring our senior cricketers @SASHertsSport

The weather may have put preparations back by a week or so, but the 1st XI cricket square is looking stunning now the sun is shining. Great effort by the ground staff at Woollams. The first match, against Watford GS, is just over a week away.
At the squash - you bump into the strangest people @montypanesar
Always a great day out. Makes a change from the Canary Wharf Classic - now at Ally Pally but should be a great day @LondonSqClassic
Back in the day, this is how you found out you were picked for England. Stayed at my parents last night and mum dug out the ‘scrapbook’. I never actually played in this game (had to give the jumpers back) but a certain Mr Warne did who bowled ‘that ball’.

Excellent fundraising for bursaries event held at Woollams on Friday. @OAAssociation Great food & atmosphere positively supporting the fundraising for life-enhancing burseries. Captivating speakers in @Athersmike & @Phil_Vickery superbly hosted by @KyranBracken & @MarkIlott
Shoulder rehab progressing after rotator cuff surgery. 6 weeks now and I can lose the sling at home. Only assisted movements now, moved on from passive ones. Couldn’t find a metre rule so I thought a roll of wrapping paper would do the job!!
Just went to give a homeless guy a Greggs sausage roll (anyone who knows me will know this is particularly generous of me) and he said ‘no thanks mate, can I have money instead’. 😳😳😳
Pic 3 shows where my supraspinatus should have been but it’s completely absent. Pic 2 is the reattached muscle covered in a collagen patch. No movement above shoulder height for 6 wks and a slow rehab to ensure it ‘knits’ strong. It’s amazing what they can do! Thank you Mr Corner
I don’t know if it’s the painkillers or the high levels of anti-histamine (I’ve broken out in a severe rash that I think wearing a sling 24/7 has caused) but the other night I woke up in a cold sweat cos I was bowling and nothing I did could get the new ball to swing back in.
Thanks to Mr Corner for repairing my ruptured supraspinatus - long recovery now but being well looked after at the @SpireHarpenden
Getting used to the sling now - night time is the only time I’m currently struggling as unable to change position but I’m getting there.
