As a result, my own countrymen were turned against me and I was barred from participating in society.

Pfizer data release. 1223 reported fatalities during 3-month period, out of 42K reports.
CDC will have been aware of some of this data via VAERS. Not clear whose passive reporting system is more complete, Pfizer's or CDC's.

Pfizer’s own trial data, are starting to be released in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the FDA. Cumulatively, between Dec. 1, 2020, and Feb. 28, 2021 — a period of just 2.5 months — Pfizer received 42,086 injury reports, including 1,223 fatalities.
