Loudest audience reaction in a theater this year: Amanda Seyfried, after a few glasses of wine in a heated discussion with Billy Evans about Charlie Kirk while Nathan Fielder just sat there quietly taking in every delicious second.
WILDWOOD's stop-motion puppets may be miniature, but the achievement is monumental. My review: fastfilmreviews.com/2026/10/…
Wildly inventive, frequently hilarious, and endlessly fascinating, YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING defies just about every convention of documentary filmmaking. It's a three-hour head trip that flies by. My review: fastfilmreviews.com/2026/10/…
WHALEFALL proves you don't need a lot of room to generate an enormous amount of suspense. It's a whale of a tale! My review: fastfilmreviews.com/2026/10/…
CLAYFACE opens Friday. After SUPERGIRL, I'm curious just how deep into DC’s supporting cast Hollywood plans to dig. Maybe I've underestimated an untapped fan base for a movie about this shape-shifting Batman villain.
Amanda Seyfried playing herself in YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING might genuinely be the best performance of her career. I’m being completely serious.
It’s 3 PM and every seat is taken at my screening of YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING. Granted, it’s Discount Tuesday, and I’m in Silicon Valley, where the Elizabeth Holmes saga is local history. Still, a packed theater for a documentary is pretty awesome.
The animated FORGOTTEN ISLAND is a visual feast...but the hyperactive story gave me indigestion. My review: fastfilmreviews.com/2026/10/…
THE SOCIAL RECKONING has all the ingredients for a gripping corporate thriller. Too bad director Aaron Sorkin turns a whistleblower scandal into two hours of people explaining things to one another. My review: fastfilmreviews.com/2026/10/…
Zach Cregger’s RESIDENT EVIL continues to impress at the box office! Its fourth Friday brought in $2.3M, actually outgrossing the $2.1M opening day of THE SOCIAL RECKONING. Now it’s on track to overperform yet again with an $8M+ fourth weekend. Incredible staying power!
Jeremy Strong plays Mark Zuckerberg in THE SOCIAL RECKONING like a Roomba programmed with exactly two settings: robotic indifference until he encounters an obstacle, which causes a petulant meltdown.
THE SOCIAL RECKONING is a huge step down from THE SOCIAL NETWORK. Sorkin reduces complex societal problems to one convenient villain: Facebook. It's the same lazy thinking that blamed television and heavy metal music for society's ills. Superficial, preachy, and disappointing.
VERITY has all the ingredients for something more audacious, but pulls back when it should indulge. Anne Hathaway shows just how much fun this material could be. My review: fastfilmreviews.com/2026/10/…
Warner Bros. marketed the hell out of Digger: TV spots, trailers, premieres and Tom Cruise doing major press. It still opened to about $8M. There’s only so much marketing can do. At the end of the day, you can’t make people see a movie they just don’t want to see.
An R-rated Emily Brontë adaptation being Warner Bros.' highest-grossing movie of 2026 is kind of wild. Of course, Dune: Part Three will easily surpass it in December. Although with WB's year...
DIGGER joins the illustrious company of Cats, Battlefield Earth, Movie 43, The Last Airbender and Madame Web in inspiring an all-out critical feeding frenzy.
And it hasn’t even opened yet.
SHAUN THE SHEEP: THE BEAST OF MOSSY BOTTOM gives Shaun a Halloween adventure packed with slapstick. Sometimes a few sheep and no dialogue are all it takes for a good time. My review: fastfilmreviews.com/2026/09/…
PRIMETIME recreates the spectacle of TV's "To Catch a Predator" without looking beneath the surface of its own sideshow. Robert Pattinson is gloriously over-the-top, but his manic energy is wasted on a shallow film. My review: fastfilmreviews.com/2026/09/…
