Rules for life. Anyone can better themselves with this, listen to how much of it is not about sport.
This should be mandatory viewing for all student athletes.

Thank you Jason for acknowledging and supporting not only Joe but all of us athletic trainers! You clearly know we have you back, thanks for having ours.
The guy squirting water into Zach Ertz’s mouth is Joe O’Pella. He’s an athletic trainer that’s been with the team for over 15 years at this point. NFL teams don’t really have water boys, athletic trainers are usually the ones responsible for having water on the practice field and during games, but this post is absolutely hilarious. A guy who rehabbed my ACL tear in my second year, has a masters degree from Pitt, and has years of experience keeping Eagles players healthy and on the field being called a “Waterboy” is crazy, and I’m already giving him shit for it, but good lord this post is so wildly misleading. Either way, thought I’d clear the air, that the people with Water Bottles during games actually serve much bigger roles on NFL Teams.

✋STOP BLAMING PEOPLE FOR THEIR POOR HEALTH✋ Everyone wants to be healthier and exercise more, eat better, drink less! BUT varying complex socioeconomic and psychological factors make ‘wanting’ things NOT EQUALLY realistic for everyone! Just because you can easily develop a healthy habit, this doesn’t mean everyone can, and it doesn’t mean they want it less than you! Judging and blaming people who fall short for not ‘wanting’ it enough is ignorant and neither accurate or helpful! It is reductionist and insulting to insinuate that most people don’t ‘want’ to acquire a healthier life! 🛑STOP IT😖

I missed Phil @WCU_AT by a few years, but I was educated by those whom he educated. Later in life I got the chance to work side by side with him for 2 offseasons. I have never met a man more dedicated to teaching and exploring the thrower than Him. I will miss him terribly.
Today we lost a giant in so many aspects of life. Phil Donley was a mentor and friend to so many of us. Phil took me in & taught me so much as a young naive sports medicine professional. Many of his words of wisdom resonate with me every day and will never be forgotten.

PBATS was honored to visit #Cooperstown yesterday to hang our own Hall of Fame plaque in the Giamatti Research Center at the @baseballhall. Here's what @HOFprez had to say about the ceremony: “Our mission is to document the history of our great game, and athletic trainers have long played a critical role in that regard. We also seek to connect generations, and we are proud that fans will have the opportunity to visit our Research Center and see the names of those who have helped keep our Hall of Famers – and so many big leaguers – on the field.” More here: bit.ly/41ZzxWM

This sadly proves why it is imperative to have qualified and trained healthcare professionals on every sideline of every game. I don't even want to imagine what would have happened if this was at a high schoolwithout a healthcare professional.

These medical staffs have run this scenario hundreds of times. I know it’s unthinkable but pro, college, even hs med staffs drill this. And hope they never ever use it. @proatc @RehabAllStar @NATA1950 teapawt.org/lou_pellegrino/status/…
