$MTPLF I wasn’t selling the stock at the highs we saw (clearly in hindsight I could/should have ‘traded it much better’). MetaPlanet has never been a trade for me, it’s an investment … I believe in Bitcoin and I truly believe MetaPlanet will ultimately be the largest company in Japan. If you believe in Bitcoin, you cannot not believe that too. Sentiment is HORRIBLE across the BTCTC space right now … this too shall pass … it may take some time … but it usually always comes back around … Hang in there! 🫶🏻

If you still don't get Nvidia and the AI opportunity, watch this 10 times. This was from January 2024, and it's becoming even more obvious now, Jensen is a true visionary. $NVDA

Metaplanet may become the 2nd largest company in the world, second only to Strategy. Issuing perpetual preferred stock is the huge unlock for Metaplanet, and I speculate this will be announced to be voted on during the Sept 1st shareholder meeting. 🧵👇

I love these conversations. If @LocateTechHQ can make it into the ASX200 then super funds valued in the trillions will be auto buying up LOC. Add in BTC accumulation and a ☝️BTC price then the flywheel could be interesting
Being first will also potentially earn them a lot of media coverage, AFR etc however more likely if the stock can get to say a 10x or similar. It's a reflexive fly wheel, just need to push hard and really get the thing going then it will be difficult for anyone else in aus to compete long term if they create preferred securities

If they have US liquidity on top of Japanese, they will be unstoppable. Most investors cannot even buy it. Without big fees or a lack of margin or just plain not trading. It needs an options market. It needs a lot to become #1. A major US subsidiary can enable Nasdaq listing. This is all preparation for it becoming one of the biggest companies in the world. They did not start out that way. They needed a vision first. Simon has that vision.

I've done some research on Nakamoto. Intuitively, when we invest in Metaplanet, the benefit we receive comes from the increase in BTC per share, especially when normalized at mNAV = 1, where BTC-denominated returns increase relatively— in other words, the effect is that the number of BTC held is increasing through effective operation. If a company like Nakamoto invests in Metaplanet, then when Metaplanet’s BTC per Share increases, the investing company’s effective BTC exposure also increases indirectly, since the BTC is being actively managed and grown. And when that investing company is trading above mNAV = 1, it can raise capital through ATMs or convertible bonds. Although there is some degree of dilution, the indirectly held BTC exposure—through companies like Metaplanet—can grow at a very rapid rate. (Currently, Metaplanet shows a BTC exposure growth effect of about 5x in one year, and up to 11x depending on its mNAV.) What I consider to be a “second-order treasury company” is a company that invests in other firms which themselves experience BTC growth through BTC per share increases— in other words, companies whose BTC exposure grows as a result of owning BTC-yielding companies. Even if the second-order treasury company slightly dilutes its own shares, the growth in BTC exposure may far outweigh the dilution, so the BTC Yield could function very efficiently. A company like Nakamoto, by investing in treasury companies, also plays a role in supporting the capital formation of those companies, which in turn contributes to their BTC per Share increases. Nakamoto benefits from this BTC/share growth effect, raises new capital through equity dilution, and reinvests again. This is what I believe constitutes the indirect “squared” effect of BTC per Share (btc/share²). As for Nakamoto’s indirect BTC exposure— when investing in treasury companies, it effectively gains BTC exposure that increases over time, so it will be interesting to see how this develops.
