I’ve been enjoying the past two months of my micro-retirement, and am excited to share the first project I've been working on: merge.mov.
It's a fitting first project for this chapter, because it’s also a tool I plan to use in the projects that come next.
Merge Movies turns code changes into short, narrative walkthroughs so you can actually show what was built, not just drop a PR or a diff in front of your team. The goal is to make it easier to share the story of a change, the system view behind it, and important code decisions
If you’ve built something cool with a coding agent in the past week, give it a try!
Make a movie for it, share it with your team, and please reach out to let me know how it goes. You can check it out here: merge.mov
The guide to creating code views is now up for merge.mov.
Thanks for the alpha testers feedback so far, and rolling out Beta this Sunday.
Claude code petition: rename the '/claude-development-platform' command to just '/development-platform'.
I keep trying to run '/clear' and mistakenly selecting this.

Announcing a new Claude Code feature: Remote Control. It's rolling out now to Max users in research preview. Try it with /remote-control
Start local sessions from the terminal, then continue them from your phone. Take a walk, see the sun, walk your dog without losing your flow.
Walked through @karpathy's microgpt art masterpiece using merge.mov.
Not nearly as good for learning as his actual blog post (karpathy.github.io/2026/02/1…), but a fun video that was made in ~30 minutes.
🚀 First trailer for merge.mov 🚀
Definitely a little sloppy now, but that's my user failure and laziness, not the platform
