The Belgians extracted the Congo’s resources for a century and then cited Congolese underdevelopment as evidence that Africans needed to be governed.
The Americans sanctioned Cuba for 66 years and then cited Cuban economic difficulties as evidence that socialism doesn’t work.
The structure is the same.
It has always been the same.
You remove the conditions necessary for success.
You wait.
You point.
You conclude.

The collapse of Reddit will be studied.
After reporting earnings, its stock collapsed 30% in a single day.
It's down 44% in 2 weeks.
But the most important detail is what was revealed in that earnings call.
The CEO said AI is killing Google search.
People no longer get sent to Reddit from Google. They merely get their answers from the AI Mode itself.
Even Google confirmed this themselves with their disastrous results - AI mode is cannibalising their search business.
Pretty soon, no one will visit Reddit voluntarily. Its traffic will continue to crater.
The worst part?
Reddit isn't alone. There are millions of companies and publishers that rely on search traffic.
That's what happens when you rely on a single funnel for discovery.
He experimented to see how easy it would be to radicalize guys to shoot bullets out of their asses or some such nonsense and Stern is stroking him for taking risks.

The AI bubble is this:
1. Revenue models assume a market of customers-- individuals, companies and governments-- exists at present spending levels or higher in the future
2. The value of AI is that it replaces individuals' jobs, the wages of which they used to buy stuff from companies and pay taxes to government, such that, after jobs are replaced none of the customers have spending power. The markets implode. AI gets no revenue.
