I really respect the vulnerability here. Not many people are willing to reveal themselves so openly on this platform. As an Irish Catholic guy drawn to stoicism, I’m in awe.

Sad news. I remember seeing Benzinger play at McCoy Stadium for the Paw Sox when I was a child. And he was one of the players whose image was painted on the walls of the ramps in the stadium.
The Cincinnati Reds are saddened by the passing of former first baseman and 1990 World Series champion Todd Benzinger.
Todd will be remembered with great affection and gratitude for his place in one of the most memorable chapters in Reds history. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, former teammates and all who knew and loved him.
