💣Thierry Henry: Bruno never should've won the EPL POTY Award. 🗣I stayed quiet when they gave Bruno the Player of the Season. I waited. Sometimes you feel something isn’t quite right and you want to see how it plays out. 🗣My instincts were correct. Last season he looked special because the load was lighter fewer games, more recovery, fresher legs. That rest helped the numbers. It inflated the output. When you’re not running on empty every week, the brain and the body work better. That’s what we saw. 🗣He should never have won it. The award rewarded a version of Bruno that only existed because the calendar was kind to him. Now the schedule is normal again, the minutes are stacking up, and the real picture is showing. This season he’s been poor. Decision-making slower, influence smaller, too many games where he doesn’t affect the match the way a Player of the Season is supposed to. The drop has been obvious. 🗣I like intelligent players. I still rate the football brain. But the award was wrong, and the numbers this season are proving it. You can’t hide from the games. I think I agree with Henry 1000%.
