My daughter asked for a Cartman cake for her b-day. I said it should be easy thinking @funkstitch could do it. She called my bluff and said "Dad just volunteered to bake your cake this year!" Nailed it!

Big breaking news for Android developers! Intel has announced that they will be retiring the HAXM project, which is a widely used hypervisor for accelerating the Android Emulator and QEMU. 🧵 #AndroidDev

Going back to work after the holidays and I am starting with a good cleaning my home office. Where did all this junk and dishes and mail and paperwork come from?

Today is Silver Dollar City. The contrast of theme park and stunning fall views of the ozarks is pretty awesome!

This totally checks out. I have been a part of building 2 separate quick service restaurant apps both serving huge amounts of revenue, going to market in under a year, with teams this size when at Asynchrony. Team cohesion and agility matters.

TIL Chick-fil-A has a team of just 6 iOS engineers working on a mobile app that processes nearly 1/3 of their orders ($5b+ in annualized payments volume) 🤯 For those who think the most talented engineers are all still at Meta/Google/NFLX/etc, think again.

I am mentoring a new engineer and am looking for katas on refactoring, shortcuts, and tooling in Android Studio. Anyone have good suggestions they have used before? #AndroidDev

Day 1 of motorcycle skills and safety done. It was so fun. Just show up and learn to ride a motorcycle. Why did I not do this sooner?

It’s a great day to start another DI war
Finished my mid year review and it was interesting this year. Straddling EM and IC makes it both really easy and really hard to have demonstratable impact on either ladder.

16 years with @funkstitch, and having a blast celebrating it at Disney!
