Today is the 245th anniversary of the surrender at Yorktown, the last major battle of the American Revolutionary War.
On October 19, 1781, the British army surrendered to George Washington at Yorktown, Virginia. French soldiers and warships fought alongside the Americans and trapped the British with no way out. The war dragged on for two more years, but after this day, Britain knew it had lost. America would be free.

Such childish game-playing. Over three years we have beaten GA, IU, and Penn State in the playoffs. Last year and this we have lost three games in the last minute. We need to beat Miami, yes. Last year’s optimism was based on in-season progress and Jeremiyah Love—reasonable!
After ND was left out of last year’s CFP, there was an assumption the Irish would have run all the way to the title game had they gotten in. Hypothetical.

BTW… The final play in the ND game against BYU was an officiating felony on 2 counts. First.. clearly the BYU defender committed Pass Interference against the ND receiver.. plus.. There was one second left in the game as the play ended.. Big 12 Officials should be fired..👎
