Good news! Oracle Database 19c will waive the first and second years of Extended Support (EXS, ES) fees. Premier Support (PS) ends on April 30, 2024, and waived Extended Support (ES) fees will be in effect from May 1, 2024, until April 30, 2026.

@oracle performance gurus: "SELECT min(col) FROM tab@remote" fetches all values of col and sorts locally, which is definitely sub-optimal in my case. Is there any chance to let the determination of the minimum happen on the remote side and only fetch that value?

So far the only way I found was to create a view on remote side that offers the value in question.
