Kick off the new year with our latest publication in @IJSPT!
We discuss how the kinetic chain impacts the arm in throwers, as well as how to evaluate and treat the trunk and LEs in throwers!

Take a look at this month’s @IJSPT to see the capstone project of one of our recent Sports PT Residency graduates at @UICAHS - Bennett Tabaracci.
We’re proud to have our residents consistently put out meaningful sports medicine research!
⚾️ How does preseason workload impact baseball pitchers? While in-game pitch counts are tracked, preseason throwing volume is less understood. This study explores its role in injury risk.

(I’ll throw mine in there, too)
Thanks to @GJDDPTATCCSCS and Marisa Pontillo for collaborating on such a fun project!
Check out the most recent issue of @IJSPT to see the work of Bennett Tabaracci, the ‘23 graduate of UIC’s Sports PT Residency!
For his capstone project, Bennett used a novel measure of workload to assess preseason acute-to-chronic workload of D1 pitchers

Had the pleasure of being back on campus to speak to PT, OT, and AT students at @LifeAtPurdue today.
I also had the pleasure of speaking with Coach Gene Keady who reminded me that “no one does anything alone.” We’re all a product of our own circle of people.
It was a good day.

For all you Sports PTs attending the @aaspt_apta Annual Meeting, be sure to visit Bennett Tabaracci during the Emerging Researcher’s program. He did some great work looking at a novel way to assess workload in pitchers. @UICAHS is proud to call him our own!
