The Constitution gives Congress the power to levy taxes and tariffs. Article 1, Section 8 provides that the Congress “shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises.” The president has no authority in the Constitution to unilaterally impose tariffs without an act of Congress. To restore the power to levy Tariff’s back to the American people, Congress should take immediate steps to reclaim their Constitutional authority On Tariffs.

S. Water St is being presented at a @MassDOT innovation conference as an example of a Self-Enforcing Roadway - a street where design changes have reduced the need for police enforcement because of physical traffic calming.
@PVDMayor's plan would undo this and move us backwards.

Thx for calling us well-organized! While a gap in cycling facility is a problem (esp in summer), bigger concerns are:
- No data to support the claim this would ease traffic - just move the bottleneck
- Huge risk to pedestrian safety - see before & after
- Total cost: ~$2-4 mil

This survey seems to indicate that people don’t believe the economy is as good as they personally experience it
The bike lanes @PVDMayor wants to remove not only protect cyclists+scooters+wheelchair users, but also pedestrians. Before the bike lane, this street (along our beautiful river! very popular night/weekend hangout) was filled with reckless driving. Now crossing the street is safe!
