Encouragement from Mikel Arteta. Laughed in the face of Vitaliy Mykolenko. Screamed at by Arsenal team-mates. Ended up playing left-back. All with Thomas Tuchel watching on. Never a dull moment with Noni Madueke. standard.co.uk/sport/footbal…

Arteta on Madueke: "I like him and if he continues to transform his mentality, his will, his capacity to be more consistent in actions, he's an unbelievable player.”

Mikel Arteta confirms that Riccardo Calafiori had a "slight issue" late in the match. Jokes he's "not that mad" to play Noni Madueke at left-back by choice.

Thought Gabriel was the pick of the bunch for Arsenal, absolutely immense. Konsa superb too and Gyokeres was much better, particularly with his hold-up play. Player ratings 👇 standard.co.uk/sport/footbal…

That's five set-pieces Arsenal have come close to scoring from. And from almost all of them, Bayern have nearly scored themselves seconds later.

Good to know Mikel Arteta's magic touch with Arsenal's 'finishers' works before half-time, too.

Piero Hincapie doing individual drills this morning and Kepa back in training for Arsenal. William Saliba and Christos Tzolis the only players not on the grass for the open training session before the squad travel to Munich later today.

The finishers to the rescue yet again. Arsenal can't keep relying on that, though. The starters, particularly in attack, need to be much better. Turgid first-half performances are becoming too regular a theme. standard.co.uk/sport/footbal…
