I’m Matt Schultz — a pastor, husband, and dad. I've seen Alaskans struggle while Washington politicians sell us out.
I’m running for Congress to fight for affordability, healthcare, and Alaska's future.
Fairbanks, join us today to celebrate what we built together.
This campaign was powered by Alaskans who gave their time, energy, resources, and heart to a shared vision of politics rooted in compassion, integrity, and service. We’re gathering to thank you, celebrate this campaign, and look ahead to how we’ll continue the work together.
Today, I am suspending my campaign for U.S. House. I am deeply grateful to every Alaskan who placed their trust in this message, and I look forward to continuing this work alongside you in this fight. Full statement below👇
Our new ad just dropped.
The system isn’t broken. It’s rigged to squeeze Alaskans and enrich D.C. insiders. It's time to bring integrity back to Congress.
Four years ago today, Roe v. Wade was overturned and millions lost the right to make their own healthcare decisions.
I want to be clear: I’m pro-choice because of my faith, not in spite of it. Politics don’t belong in the exam room, and I’ll always fight for reproductive freedom.
Today Nick Begich voted to keep the reckless war in Iran going, as Alaskans are paying over $5 a gallon and $10+ in the villages.
He had a chance to end it and he didn't even try.
Alaskans are paying the price, and we'll remember in November.
Thank you, Homer! It was great seeing the grassroots energy building at the end of the road, and talking with folks about how to build a thriving future on the Peninsula.
Thank you Kenai! It was a joy seeing the grassroots energy building on the Peninsula, and talking with folks across differences.
That’s what this campaign is about: showing up, listening, and earning every vote.
It’s official: we’re on the ballot for U.S. House in Alaska.
Running for office is an act of hope, and this campaign is about delivering a representative who listens, shows up, and fights for working people.
Let’s do this.
This is outside the federal politics lane, but I believe we have a moral obligation to take care of those who take care of us.
Dunleavy vetoed a bipartisan plan for police, firefighters, teachers & public servants, while protecting billions in corporate giveaways.

We're proud to have the endorsement of newly elected Anchorage Assembly Member Janice Park.
"Washington D.C. is fundamentally broken and Congress has lost its soul. We need leaders with genuine faith and conviction to step up and do what is right. I am proud to endorse Matt Schulz for Congress because he has the moral compass required to restore our government and work toward lifting up every Alaskan." - Anchorage Assembly Member Janice Park
Grateful to @LisaMurkowski for her vote to end the war in Iran. She is setting an example of putting country over party, standing up for our servicemembers and their families, and working to bring our men and women home.
That's the kind of leadership Alaska deserves.
I'm relieved to hear that no one was injured at the White House Correspondents Dinner tonight.
While a lot remains unknown, we must reject all forms of political violence. Thank you to law enforcement and all who work hard to keep people safe.
The SAVE Act will make it harder for Alaskans to vote. Nick Begich supported it anyway. In a state where tens of thousands of people vote by mail and most communities live off the road system, that’s not a small change. It’s a real threat to free and fair elections. We deserve better. nativenewsonline.net/current…
Right now, our country is working great for billionaires. For everyone else, it’s getting harder to afford groceries, health care, housing, and just the basics.
My campaign isn’t taking corporate PAC money because government should work for working people, not the ultra-wealthy. And I'll fight to overturn Citizens United so billionaires can’t buy our elections.
Happy Easter!
Today is a reminder of the values that guide this campaign: love your neighbor, serve your community, and never lose hope.
Wishing you and your family a joyful and peaceful Easter.
One year after “Liberation Day” tariffs, Alaska families are still paying the price.
Nick Begich promised to lower costs, but he keeps backing price-hiking tariffs that cost families an average of $1,000 more a year.
Alaskans deserve someone who will fight to bring costs down.
“Love your neighbor” isn’t just something Matt says, it’s how he’s lived his life, and it’s the spirit behind this campaign.
Because when we show up for each other, we can build a future that actually works for everyday people.
Good to see @LisaMurkowski working to tackle youth homelessness. No young person should be sleeping on the street in America.
This legislation must be paired with real investment and policies that make housing and basic needs affordable for every family.
