Reddit is ending logged-out browsing. The company says it needs to stop scrapers, but scrapers can make accounts like anyone else.
The shareholder letter is more honest. It says logged-in users provide “more signals for ads targeting” and are the “most monetizable.” Every thread you read will be tied to your account. The same excuse already killed Old Reddit for guests, RSS feeds, and Wayback Machine archiving. Twenty years of open human discussion are going behind a wall so Reddit can monitor you.

What happened to the "anime effect"? Jessie had a Seviper by her side in Generation III and IV and yet it's losing 14% to the Nidoran pair. You would think being a Pokémon that a major character owned would make it more popular but I guess not.

Pero el drama actual demuestra lo malacostumbrados que nos tienen los juegos modernos: poca tolerancia a la frustración, pereza en aprender patrones y querer avanzar rápido pulsando X e ir al siguiente juego.

Hate to tell ya but....uh....yeah EVERY bigger named game releasing through 2028 has AI in it. ALL of them, literally all of them. Even if it's for very small assets, they are using AI in some way or another. It is sadly the reality of gaming now.
And yes this includes over 12000 new and upcoming indie games too....it's here to stay unfortunately. If the game is good, just enjoy the game....trying to fight everything that has some AI in it won't end well. (Even if they claim no AI, they use AI to make stuff then have humans touch up the flaws....thus still using AI but don't have to claim it since it was altered, giving them a reason to deny it. Don't believe when they say it, if it looks like AI, it likely has AI). This from a game dev who was invited to a grand meeting on the state of the gaming industry.
