Driving only EVs since 2020 taught me a few things:
- A regular 110v outlet will fuel an EV. Slow, but it works.
- A 15-minute charging stop every two hours lines up with how long my bladder lasts.
- FSD on my HW3 Model Y is pretty good and will give it a try again this weekend!
AARP sent me a membership offer today, highlighting their fight to protect Social Security and Medicare. I appreciate it, but I'm 43 and not their target market. I'm doing my best to self-fund my retirement. Anyone else planning like Social Security won't be there?
Two weeks with the @eightsleep Pod 6 and pillow. Woke up today realizing the pillow is where the magic is. I used to flip pillows all night. Sleep stats and the pillow temp adjustments say I didn't do that at all. The mattress is fantastic at pulling excess heat away, just more subtle than I expected. #eightsleep

First night on my @eightsleep Pod 6. Turned it on to watch a show and it about put me to sleep 10 minutes in. Curious to see how Autopilot adjusts the temperature over the next week to dial it in. #eightsleep
Turned on the computer, opened @monarch_money, and classified every weekend transaction. Gifts | Variable, Golf, Amazon Purchases, Grocery, and Food Porn (what I call fast food), each with a note of what I bought. At month end it is nice to see exactly where the money went.
Shoutout to @MoneyGuyShow for turning me onto @monarch_money. Between their content, resources, and the daily tracking, I feel so much better about my personal finances. Congrats to Monarch on hitting 1 million members and a big revenue milestone.
Counting down to my Eight Sleep Pod 6 cover. Excited to come home from an evening 9 holes and be able to cool down quickly!
My morning, nothing fancy. Ice water first thing. Then a cup of decaf, warm and easy, so my mind isn't wide awake before my body is. Real coffee only when it's time to lock in on something. Basic works if you actually do it.

I can now finally confirm that we are in very active conversations with Buc-ee’s about their first location in Oklahoma City (and the State of Oklahoma), which will be located at Interstate 40 and Cimarron Road in West OKC.
There will be new infrastructure necessary to facilitate this project, and that aspect of the project is made possible by a partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Relative to that work, the City Council today approved an agreement with ODOT and the development company associated with Buc-ee’s.
Though work lies ahead, we look forward to the opportunity to welcome Buc-ee’s to OKC!
A UK golf club's new lithium Jacobsen greens mower added a full foot on the stimpmeter, per the dealer. One charge covers 143,000 sq ft, more than 50 greens, and it's near silent. Faster greens and happier neighbors. My three-putt problem is about to get worse.
Starship made orbit this morning and started dropping off 26 Starlink V3 satellites. SpaceX says each one adds 1 Tbps of capacity. One of the ship's engines quit early on the way up and it went to orbit anyway. My car throws a fit over low tire pressure.

More than 8,500 electric school buses were running in the US as of June, up 66% in a year. With diesel prices at records this fall, the business case pretty much writes itself. A bus route is about the most predictable duty cycle there is. Perfect use for a battery.
Oklahoma finally paid us back for a summer of 100-degree days. Perfect golf weather at Boiling Springs with 20 good friends. The best state park golf course I have played in Oklahoma.

Simulation is used to reproduce extremely rare or dangerous scenarios where we don’t have enough data, despite millions of cars on the road.
For example: you’re driving down a narrow two-lane road when a pedestrian trips and falls into the road. The right decision is to slow down as much as possible and choose a glancing impact into the oncoming car, rather than run over and kill the pedestrian.
This is the classic Trolley Problem, but with a vast number of variations.
