While we are at it, let’s not forget all the poor innocent European colonial settlers and slave masters brutally slaughtered by Indigenous people and rebellious African slaves. Right, @MarkJCarney?
There's no evidence that, no precedent for, Iran attacking Synagogs. Israel is the only one country that systematically attacks places of worship. They've destroyed almost every mosque, church and graveyard in Gaza and have a documented history of false flag attacks against Jews.

The most honest statement ever made about Cuba policy came from a State Department memo in 1960, written before the sanctions were fully implemented.
The memo, written by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Lester Mallory, stated that the U.S. should pursue a policy to bring about hunger, desperation, and overthrow of the Cuban government.
Not: respond to "Cuban repression."
Not: protect Cuban human rights.
Not: promote democracy.
Hunger. Desperation. Overthrow.
This memo is declassified. It is in the historical record. It is not disputed.
It means that every subsequent year of sanctions, every subsequent citation of Cuban poverty and dysfunction as evidence of socialist failure, every subsequent American official expressing concern for the welfare of the Cuban people:
All of it happened downstream of a documented decision to deliberately produce hunger and desperation in that population.
This is not a conspiracy theory.
It is a declassified government document.
The conspiracy was the policy.
The theory was written in plain English by an American official in 1960 and has been implemented faithfully for 66 years since.
What they wanted to prove, they engineered the conditions to prove.
And then they called it evidence.
The same Western mainstream media that continually gives a pass to actual Ukrainian Nazis, wants you to believe that anti-Zionism (opposition to an expansionist genocidal settler colonial project) is antisemitic.
The Cuban government isn't the one preventing fuel coming into Cuba. The illegal US blockade of Cuba is the cause of the humanitarian crisis.
BREAKING: BT’s Zoe Alexandra (@ZoeAlexandra_ok) confronted US Ambassador Mike Waltz at the United Nations headquarters on Wednesday, calling out his lie that “there is no blockade” on Cuba – and that the blocking of oil shipments is directly responsible for an escalating humanitarian crisis.
While Waltz retorted that the US allowed the arrival of a Russian oil tanker to Cuba, Alexandra immediately countered that the March fuel delivery was only able to supply a small fraction of the country’s energy needs.
The ambassador then became visibly frustrated and quickly turned to take another reporter’s question.
The encounter followed the UN General Assembly annual vote to end the US blockade on the island nation.

We love partnering with scum.
Today, we launched a more ambitious partnership between Canada and the UAE.
A new free trade agreement that will unlock new access for Canadian businesses. A new energy partnership that will lead to greater investment in renewables. A new agreement on defence cooperation that will make Canadians safer.

Yup! I remember seeing a video of young man in Gaza during a “ceasefire”.
His message: “you’re closer to this than being a billionaire” while standing in front of massive piles of rubble.
The way he said it, it’ll stay with me always.

One of the dumbest things we are asked to believe about Iran is that it keeps taking time away from defending itself against US-Israeli aggressions to orchestrate random acts of arson and vandalism in mid-power western states for no discernible benefit to its strategic interests.
Today CBC published an article with the headline: “Why a spate of gun-for-hire shootings in Toronto were likely paid for by Iran.”
I was intrigued, as there has been almost 0 evidence offered for this claim thus far.
Unfortunately this article doesn’t offer any either, adding nothing new. CBC says they spent weeks on the investigation, so these are pretty pitiful results, at least in terms of finding evidence of who paid for the shootings.
I’m not sure why they feel comfortable with such a declarative headline given the lack of evidence (other than journalistic standards going out the window when the subject is an Official Enemy country).
Also, CBC and other journalists continue platforming police claims that they need backdoor access to messaging apps to solve these shootings, with no push back or critique about how these powers can be abused, including against journalists.

“Resistant to Palestinian pain” is a strange way to describe bloodthirsty sadism. The tortured prose of liberal Zionist genocide apologists is wild.
In my interviews with Israelis, a portrait has emerged: a people defiant but weary, resistant to Palestinian pain but traumatized from war, fed up with the world but fearful of global isolation, and in a tug-of-war with themselves.

(They *still* receive HoIocaust reparations) Shapiro: Erm, uh, that's totally different! Israel took $500b from America (and $30B since Oct 7). It still begs for more.

gotta love when a silver-spooned hack goes after *check notes* an ER physician who spends his time saving people. Yes, that’s the person you should target for their political beliefs after you spent the last few days tap-dancing thinking the guy you backed would win.
What is allowed to be done to Palestinians will be done to us one day very soon.

The UN Human Rights Council confirmed that the US blockade against Cuba violates human rights and international law, citing Article 33 of Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits collective punishment.
Your administration is starving and killing babies in Cuba just like Israel is starving and killing babies in Gaza.
The U.S. sanctions against Cuba must be lifted immediately. This’s a crime against humanity.
The Castro regime has profited at the expense of the Cuban people with luxury cars, expensive watches and a private island resort. As I shared this with the world, regime thugs rushed the stage to interrupt my speech.
They can intimidate their own people in Cuba but think again about trying that nonsense in the United States of America.
My heart is with the working class of Venezuela who are rising up against the betrayers of their socialist project.
🇻🇪|A profound shift is underway in Venezuela, where the illusion of democratic transition has collided with the reality of a foreign-backed carve-up of the nation's wealth. The protests erupting across the country are not merely a demand for elections; they are a rejection of a new form of colonial administration that has turned the state into a subsidiary of the U.S. Treasury. The "democracy" being offered by Washington is a carefully managed enterprise designed to legitimize the theft of the world's largest oil reserves.
💥 The Architecture of a Managed State
The foundation of this new arrangement was laid on January 3, 2026, when U.S. forces captured President Nicolás Maduro and transferred him to New York. In his place, the U.S. installed former Vice President Delcy Rodríguez as interim leader, making it clear her hold on power depended on staying in Trump's good graces. This was not a transition to democracy; it was a transfer of operational control.
The financial mechanism of this control was established almost immediately. Washington brokered the greater part of Venezuela’s oil exports, channeling the proceeds into an account controlled by the U.S. Treasury, which now decides how and when the revenue is spent. The Venezuelan state, in effect, lost its fiscal sovereignty.
🎯 The Oil Deal: 65 Billion Barrels and a 100-Year Concession
The material prize was formalized on August 28, 2026, when President Trump announced an agreement purportedly giving Washington control of 65 billion barrels of Venezuela's proven oil reserves, calling it "the biggest oil deal in world history". The terms were staggering: a 100-year concession, to be run by a private company under de facto U.S. government control. Trump promised the deal would come at "no cost to the U.S. taxpayer" while allowing the U.S. to "replenish its strategic stockpiles". The Venezuelan government confirmed the arrangement, offering conflicting details on its duration and terms, a clear sign of a diminished sovereignty and informal U.S. dominion.
📜 "You’re Not Going to Street-Protest Your Way Into a Democracy"
The U.S. response to the genuine democratic aspirations of the Venezuelan people was swift and revealing. When opposition leader María Corina Machado returned to Caracas and demanded elections be held in 2027, while criticizing the massive oil deal, Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a veiled but unmistakable warning: "You're not going to street-protest your way into a democracy".
The U.S. was not interested in a free vote that might jeopardize the oil arrangement. Instead, Washington backed a different dialogue process negotiations between the interim government and a faction of the opposition led by Dinorah Figuera, a process that excluded Machado and the apparent 2024 election winner, Edmundo González Urrutia. The message was clear: democracy is acceptable only if it is the right kind of democracy, one that does not interfere with the extraction of resources.
⚔️ The Mirror: A People Demanding What Was Taken
The protests of October 2026 are the physical manifestation of this contradiction. Thousands took to the streets in Caracas, Valencia, Maracay, and Maracaibo, demanding free elections and an end to the foreign exploitation of their oil. For the demonstrators, the connection is direct: they are demanding a government that answers to them, not to a foreign treasury.
A young student in Maracay explained her participation: "I've been through so many hardships, so many problems because of the dollar, and difficulties studying. I have high hopes for my country and for our next leader and president". The hardship is not abstract. It is the lived experience of an economy managed for external extraction, where the nation's wealth flows into an account in Washington while its people struggle.
The U.S. narrative of "promoting democracy" collapses under the weight of its own actions. It captured a president, installed a compliant successor, seized control of the national treasury, signed a century-long oil concession, and then warned the opposition that protest is not the path to democracy. The Venezuelan people are being told that their voice does not matter, that their resources belong to the empire, and that the "transition" will be managed by those who delivered their country into foreign hands.
Long live the people of Venezuela. Long live the Resistance. Long live the Axis of Resistance.
