I think if we replaced the conversation of capitalism vs socialism with freedom vs statism we'd get a lot further along.
Socialism and Capitalism are broken words that distract from the proper point.
Freedom vs slavery (statism)
NOS presents the solution.

The government is shoving its dick in your arse regardless of how you vote, or even if you vote.
Your vote will just be counted as "consent" and that's all it will count for.
Stop voting for your own slavery.
Fight for sanity instead nationsofsanity.com
It's not trickier with children.
Parents owe their children a duty of care because they brought them into this world (put them in peril).
If you push someone who can't swim into deep water you're responsible if they drown. Same applies to letting your children starve.

Fair. Libertarian theory is much cleaner when it comes to social interactions between adults. It gets trickier when it comes to children because, yes, parents have a positive obligation to care for their children. Pretty much all of libertarian theory has a special carve-out for children (and adults who cannot care for themselves) where they can’t be considered capable of knowingly consenting to things.
That said, I don’t think it invalidates the philosophy. The question at hand is: how do we all get along and minimize conflict? I think libertarianism offers the best solution to this problem by far, which is the use the non-aggression principle as a base framework for decentralized law.
A very interesting and enlightening conversation with Stephan Kinsella @NSKinsella about his "The Universal Principles of Liberty" document, the peace agreement proposed by Nations of Sanity and the synergistic potential between these projects.

From a great conversation with @Rerazer came an excellent article from @DropTheMaskPod that I think all libertarians/anarchists should read.
The better we understand our destination the better we understand how we get there.

A very interesting and productive conversation with Patrick Smith @NotGovernor exploring the philosophical grounding and justification for property, rights and ownership/self ownership.
Special thanks to Patrick for taking the time.

And very relevant to this conversation is the "Anti-Subjectivism Manifesto" that Patrick co-wrote with Christian G Moore.

Our slavery is formalized. Maybe our emancipation needs to be too.
This is the fundamental claim of the Nations of Sanity project and something that I think all libertarians should consider.
Thanks @Rerazer for pushing me into clarifying this.

The Nations of Sanity asserts that we should abolish statism by establishing the NAP as law through a peace agreement.
Formalize our emancipation. What say you?

@ComicDaveSmith why do you keep conflating your house with your country?
Immigration is just moving.
Our right to exclude others applies only to our property. The entire country is nobody's property.
Your immigration position is anti libertarian and incoherent.
Government is the cause of immigration problems, not the solution.
The Nations of Sanity project presents the solution nationsofsanity.com
