This was disturbing to read on many levels and triggering as a parent in RETSD and survivor of teacher student misconduct/ abuse. The failure from all involved of a system that states our children are safe from many different levels (@MBGov, Manitoba Teacher Society, @RETSDschools and School) that allowed inappropriate conduct to take place and hide it rather than remove the individual from any access to any further children in Manitoba’s education system. Something i know to well. As well the comments made by the superintendent showing a disregard for conduct of staff toward students within the division's care. At the very least how was it acceptable for a child to be in a room alone locked with a teacher and never being checked on? @WabKinew winnipegfreepress.com/breaki…

Awesome to see our Education Minister put this in place ensuring all Manitoba children have safe avenues and not alone. I truly wish this was in place when I went to school. It's taken us as a society 20+ years to get here. This is the #1 item used in educator sexual abuse. #mbpoli @Tracy4Rossmere @WabKinew @mbndp @ndpcaucus

Manitoba becomes a leader in child safety in schools! Manitoba is the first Canadian province to issue a direct, explicit province-wide government mandate banning unmonitored one-on-one digital messaging between teachers and students #mbpoli @Tracy4Rossmere @WabKinew @mbndp @ndpcaucus

My law firm is gearing up to take on the Federal Government over the thousands of sexual assault/ intimate partner violence cases that are thrown out of the criminal court system due to delays. We are ready. Everyday a woman is murdered in Canada because her abuser escaped consequences. Learn more at jordanchallenge.ca and watch the video below and SHARE:

Long Over due!!!! I spoke about it in June 2024 and Feburary 2025 the Minster and deputy Minister. On Jan 5th, 2026 I stated publicly that the education minister needed to set a directive when she told the public they needed to be patient when a story was released about a grade 3 student. xitter.cf/Max86Jenson/status/200…

We have a femicide crisis in Canada. Victims don't see their day in court. Abusers walk free. The Federal government is trying to STRIKE out the lawsuit we brought on behalf of Survivors, but we are fighting back. Learn more at jordanchallenge.ca

This ruling has allowed a man with 71 charges related to 10 children, accused of sexually abusing them and argue their case should be dropped. Where is the victims rights? There weren't any during the assault! Why do we give individuals who conduct horrific crimes an ability to walk free without a verdict? ctvnews.ca/canada/newfoundla…

I wonder. Did RETSD offer support for the victim when they finally figured it out. Months after there was concerns. Did they offer support after the commissioners ruling? The same offer they made public to the teacher who was sexually harrased by a student?
I have serious questions for RETSD, the Teacher Commissioner of Manitoba and Education Minister. Paragraph 7 of this teacher commissioners report the principal was aware of conduct that should have be reported as per division policy. Due to failure of reporting. The Principal failed to catch items in paragraph 6. Putting this student and others at risk. Why is this principle not disciplined for incompetence? @RETSDschools @Tracy4Rossmere @WabKinew edu.gov.mb.ca/k12/profcert/r…

We release high risk sex offenders and barely support the victims for the assault that were committed on them. Backwards system.
High risk to reoffend criminals should not be set free. Ever.
