so crazy how so many of us are doing increasingly more permissive multiagentic pipelines with permissions skipped just as cybersecurity risks are getting crazier and crazier each day
(at bare minimum, just get claude code and codex to audit your PC+Wifi security EVERY day)
im using notion to get astra and opus5.5 to talk to each other
btw i got into science claw hackathon
one of @alexeyguzey's most important intuitions is how "hardest" sometimes becomes "easiest"
I spent a weekend in SF and started having terrible visions. I have finally written up my kind of tragic and dire prescriptions and research directions for managing autonomous / homeostatic agent swarms out in the economy.
"wow this is really good" - [redacted]
I used Muse to download my entire facebook wall + gmail connector and then used the prompt
"can you analyze EVERYTHING about me in terms of resolvents, transient propagators, structured pseudospectra, controllability spaces, higher-order interactions, and adaptive representations"
so much is invested in the neuroscience of human endstate disease, and so little in the neuroscience of human flourishing (hedonia.kringelbach.org/top-… )
but investment in the groundtruth/EEG biomarkers of human flourishing/"agile mind"/"top performance for non-elite brains" is necessary enabler to *many* other projects (and it's funner)
Mb it had to take short ASI/AGI timelines to force near-term investment into the urgency of the "human flourishing project"
I love it how the longest aoe2 mega-campaign now (the one released today) is now over celebrating the adventurous/epic life of one of the biggest losers in history

A simplistic view of pacing is that society can only absorb new information at a certain rate, so generating information beyond that rate is wasteful and distracting.
We should be investing far more in proposals and technologies that increase society’s absorptive capacity.
Ok I guess I'm on the plane now even though it means missing biology events back home ;(
It'll be Paris one day then toulouse then intp.science
oh my god i asked muse to summarize my facebook history and it is so cringe im just so glad it's basically unbrowseable to most people
I don't understand how I was so cringe for so long
Much of the "misalignment" that was already present in the structure of the universe has already been uncovered in the least damaging way possible with agent swarms (so far) and the discovery of *this* alone should reduce *some* of the future risk of bad outcomes from agent swarms
i just found a major macbook security vulnerability: you need to install outbound firewalls (not just inbound ones) - like mb install lulu, blockblock, nextDNS
Idk what kind of world it is where *both* psychedelics and video games slow brain aging (obviously don't do either in excess, but past a certain level of life experience it is way easier to do too little than too much)
sometimes i say @WendiYan5 and @aishdoingthings are the anti-Goodharter's :)
(and @DrYohanJohn is remarkably anti-Goodhart'ian among neuroscientists)

Replying to @itaisher @thuddwhirr
I do think that people should update more from the fact that the people with crazy sounding conceptions of the future keep winning forecasting competitions on AI progress while people with more measured intuitions keep undershooting on hard quantitative benchmarks
~~I'm applying for this next month, might be fun to have a call w/him~~
