The heart❤️of the event: OKC's delegation sharing real stories about the places, people, & children they love, & how this love fuels their climate leadership. More moments from our time at #TEDCountdownHouse are coming soon. Stay tuned across our channels. 🌍 🧡 #COP30

The climate crisis is harming our children’s health - 90% of kids breathe toxic air. We need urgent action for clean air and a healthier planet.

I've written a piece for #LCAW2025 on how mothers are using creativity to bring about change
and take climate action to the heart of London's financial district.
It draws on research from @KHayhoe @ClimateOutreach @PE_Coalition

Mothers in costumes.
Flooded playgrounds.
Climate cakes.
Ahead of the London Climate Action Week, @MayaMailer tells the story of @MothersRiseUp, mothers using art, joy and fierce love to confront the #climatecrisis. They brought a flooded playground to the doors of the Global Insurance Summit to ask;
“How can you insure homes and fossil fuels?
We’re not just angry. We’re mothers.”

It is absolutely indefensible that profits from Scotland’s oil and gas reserves could flow to a company linked to human rights violations in Palestine.
We must continue to oppose Rosebank for both climate & human rights reasons.

We met several folks from @OurKidsClimate at the WHO 2nd Global Conference on Air Pollution & Health. They are a powerful grassroots movement taking action on air pollution, fossil fuels & children's health. This #WorldHealthDay let's celebrate those who speak truth to power.
Today is World Health Day. 🩺 Pregnant women and children — especially the youngest — face the greatest risks from air pollution, extreme heat, & climate disasters. Protecting them means ending our dependence on fossil fuels. #HopefulFutures #FossilFree4Health #ProtectWhatWeLove

These comments from @AnasSarwar suggest a misunderstanding of both the UK's oil & gas licensing regime as well as a failure to grasp how little we can rely on North Sea oil companies to provide domestic energy security:
