The Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is the Ultimate knowledge or Vidya that exists in this universe, because, it is Bhagwan Shri Krishna's very own words, His own Vaañi in the form of a song or 'Geeta'.
One of the miracles of the Geeta is, that whenever you memorize any verse or any full chapter/ chapters of the Bhagwat Geeta with devotion and concentration, you will never ever forget that in your lifetime. That is because, Bhagwan Shri Krishna has Himself declares, that the Bhagwat Geeta is His own heart. Hence, Bhagwan never ever lets His devotee forget the verse or chapter that he/ she has memorized.
It might take you sometime, few days to recollect, if you are trying to remember it after long.
But, you will surely recollect it, if you pray to Bhagwan and try to remember that verse or that particular chapter of the Geeta. Bhagwan Shri Krishna ensures that you never forget His Geeta in your lifetime.
Also, each and every person who is trying to memorize the Bhagawat Geeta has some or the other divine experience during that point of time for sure. Most of the times, a person sees the verses of the Geeta which he/she is trying to memorize in his sleep. Those verses keep revolving at the back of your mind even when you are working or busy in your daily activities.
Such is the eternal glory of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and His Geeta.
