Medical Education @NottsHealthcare half away day for postgraduate education commences! #MedEd
The final item. Hiding at the end of the agenda it’s Dr Graham Worwood and Gemmel Ayer, Clinical Educator with a talk on the Hidden Curriculum. #MedEd
The Hidden Curriculum is the name for the unwritten, unofficial, and sometimes unintended lessons, values, and insights that students learn in school. Hidden curriculum - Wikipedia
So what is the Hidden Curriculum? A few people here know (by show of hands), but it is defined today as: Anything outside the formal dimensions of learning, the cultural subtext of where you are. The difference between what we teach and what we learn.
Next up at today’s Med Ed Undergrad Day: Feedback. Dr Matthew Impey and Carrie Richards, Clinical Educator now taking us through what we’ve heard in 2024.
Professor Claire Sharpe taking us through the routes med students might take during their training. It’s diverse and offers different skills depending on the route.
Professor Claire Sharpe, Dean of Education at School of Medicine is our first speaker. Speaking about the NHS Workforce Plan.
Programme for this afternoon’s session @NottsHealthcare. Just about to start!
We're just preparing to start our Under Graduate Half Away Day - time to come together and consider how #MedEdNotts serves our future medics.
