There is a bold distinction between forgiveness and firm boundaries.
Forgiveness is NOT an act of absolution. It is to help you let go of the toxicity that weighs you down, that effects you when you are hurt, angry and/or betrayed by a person you loved and trusted. Forgiveness does not require a reconciliation.
Forgiveness eradicats the control that the other person has over you when you are carrying anger and justified bittnerness and resentment. The normal reaction to want to lash back but it will also affect your physical health. Stress is a contributing factor of cancer and Widowmaker heart attacks.
Forgiveness allows you to prioritize yourself and your family to take steps moving forward without that simmering toxicity. Even if it means eliminating the egregious party in your life. Even parents or siblings.
Forgiveness does not remove the person's responsibility and accountability for their actions. It seems to be the understanding by many that when the person forgives you regardless if told directly to the person or a self private acceptance of forgiveness for the aggressor, it means you must resume a relationship and interaction. FALSE!!! Many know this as well but use Forgiveness as a tool to guilt the injured party into reconciliation just as Harry and Megsy's vile UK MSM @TheSun @DailyMail @DailyMailUK @Daily_MailUS @MirrorRoyal @DailyMirror @people @Telegraph @Daily_Express are doing!!
Prince William must remain firm. He will protect his family, Monarchy and RF. As Christian we are directed to forgive, to give all the negative weight from the other person to God. Do not retaliate. Trust God knowing he will judge them one day. God promises he will give them their due punishment. He tells us to set our boundaries where needed and we do NOT have to reconcile!
Personally, as a Christian, I much rather trust in God's instructions than that of man espec those backing Harry and Megsy!!
