The Ninth Circuit oral argument was brutal for DOJ. It will lose both procedurally and on the merits. (Re: DOJ's appeal of its lawsuit against California before the trial court had even ruled on its demand that California sequester 20,000 voters).

Celebrations in central Belgrade, Serbia, tonight after Aleksandar Vucic’s defeat
JUST IN: Serbia’s longtime leader Aleksandar Vucic conceded defeat in Sunday’s parliamentary election, losing to a student-led opposition movement after two years of protests against his government. The stunning result ends 14 years of dominance by Vucic and his right-wing party. Backed by Vladimir Putin, Vucic had accused the student movement of being a foreign-backed attempt to oust him. The opposition is projected to win 135–140 of Parliament’s 250 seats, compared with about 105 for Vucic’s party.

If voter being "misled" can lead to a federal investigation, let's consider things like whether the Green Party candidates in AZ might be Republican plants. Or is that different?
The Department of Justice does not seek to stop any ballot from being cast or to stop the certification of Alaska's election. This litigation seeks to ensure that after Alaskans cast their ballots, they are preserved in a manner so that only Alaska's governing officials have the information necessary to make a determination as to whether Alaskan voters were confused or mislead. The lawsuit was written by Justice Department attorneys and the Department did not coordinate with any campaign or candidate, but rather relied solely on federal law.

@azjustinheap if it was a waste of time, why exactly did you forward those voters to be investigated? Why did your office not reach out to the county attorney or the board of supervisors to assist in confirming their registration status before submitting that referral? And why did your office continue a lawsuit you agreed was without merit? Can you provide an explanation to the taxpayers of Maricopa County whose tax dollars now have to go to fund the cost of that lawsuit? Because, frankly, your attempt yo spin this as a victory is as unconvincing as it is absurd. I know you may have to check with @SamThePol since he’s the one who runs the office on the many, many, many days when you don’t bother showing up. Maybe you can check with Sam on what is actually going on in the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office and get back to us about how your repeated failure to work with anyone who isn’t willing to step and fetch for you is costing taxpayer money from the people of Maricopa County and badly need credibility from the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office

Opposition to ERIC is the biggest tell that most election integrity activism is just manipulative, partisan nonsense. It's, by far, the best system out there for finding interstate double voting. The "left-wing" accusation is because in order to be in ERIC, the voter rolls must be checked against the MVD database, and those not registered to vote are sent a postcard. Utah is a founding member. Utah. So to recap. ERIC strongly limits double voting, at the cost of giving more people the opportunity to vote.

This is SPOT on! It’s even WORSE than what you’ve so rightly described. Utah is a member of @beckerdavidj David Becker’s Electronic Registration and Information Clearinghouse (ERIC). Meaning that the hypocritical @LGHendersonUtah hands over to this leftwing outfit EVERY month not only the data she refuses to share with DOJ, but ALL the data from Utah’s drivers license agencies: For EVERYONE in the state who has a drivers license, registers a car, all 15 1/2 year olds with driver permits, etc etc. ALL their protected data. That data goes to ERIC with ZERO restrictions as to what ERIC does with the data. (Read the contract. It is written into the contract!). Utah taxpayers foot the bill for this massive invasion of their privacy We know that ERIC / David Becker then hand over the data to Becker’s OTHER NGO, Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR) - yes, the same NGO that received millions from Zuckerberg in 2020 to defeat @realDonaldTrump At least 23 of the 27 states sued by DOJ for not sharing their voter rolls with the DOJ are members of ERIC and share much more private data with Becker’s NGOs than DOJ has even requested. @LGHendersonUtah screams PRIVACY! PRIVACY!! while shipping off to these leftwing NGOs the private data of every Utah resident’s interactions with their DMVs. All of it violates the federal Drivers Privacy Protection Act (DPPA). Hey, @TheJusticeDept - are you listening? Sue these hypocritical states for violating the DPPA. Why not start with Utah? @EIwatchdogs @BasedMikeLee @HarmeetKDhillon

Paul is right. Here is one of my posts tracking early ballots when I was a secretary of state employee. Republicans had a 12-point lead.
In AZ, for many years, Republicans dominated early voting from wire to wire. They built the system and dominated it. It was only when Trump started to cast doubts on vote by mail that Dems started to lead in early returns. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to rewrite history.

ERIC is the system for identifying voters who vote in multiple states. It's hard to be both "pro-election integrity" and anti-ERIC.

It shouldn’t have taken legal action, a judge & a mediator for Heap to restore voting rights to U.S citizens.
Heap reinstates the 25 voters he marked ineligible.

These are U.S. citizens — they always had the legal right to vote. But you nearly disenfranchised them and took their rights away by wrongly labeling them non-citizens when you had no authority to do so. That is unconscionable. But tell yourself whatever you need to hear.
For once we agree @AZAGMayes your lawsuit was a waste of time. You spent four weeks refusing to provide the citizenship verification we requested. Then you went to court, provided exactly what I asked for, and agreed to dismiss your own lawsuit. This isn't your victory lap, it's a concession speech with confetti.

Justin Heap is lying to YOU, again. Back in *February* he declared these 25 US citizens as “non-citizens”, patted himself on the back. He made this allegation against 137 folks but ONLY 8 turned out to have voted illegally. Today, Justin is spinning a sad 8-month episode’s ending
For four weeks, AG Kris Mayes refused to provide the citizenship verification we requested. Then, in court, she provided exactly what we had asked for all along—and dismissed her lawsuit. All 24 voters have been restored. We stood firm, did our duty, and upheld Arizona law.
