When a company makes a substandard tool, the user has the right to improve upon that tool. If that right is denied, then the user will find a better alternative.
Anthropic made their tool substandard by blocking REA, what do you think their users' next move is going to be?
Been spending the last few days optimizing my physics sandbox. The years I've spent breaking other games have trained me well to spot the flaws in my own system.
So many clever little hacks that I'm proud of, and look forward to showing off once I finish the vertical slice.

19-year-old Cleveland, Ohio father Joshua Brissett is charged with child abuse after trying to mash his infant son’s head with a cooking mallet to “make it look more like his own.”
Brissett is reported to have been inspired by an exhibit he saw in the Cleveland Museum of Natural History that showed ancient cultures shaping babies’ heads.
Two things I love in one post, proving their usefulness: AI and IA.
We should be protecting and cultivating them both.
An update from Brewster Kahle on today's outage.

ALT Internet Archive ops staff were heroes last night. PHP vulnerability announced, soon saw attacks, isolated the vulnerability, used Claude to make fixes for our older php versions, used local models to run simulated attacks, deployed. reinforced WAF and other guards. Offline briefly, Back on new versions and running! Given the severity, there are heroes in many many orgs from last night. Could have been no lights, no traffic signals, real problems. Heroes. Thank you all.

One reason I wish I could train Sora locally is because about 25% of generations glitch up pretty hard and turn into what I call "Nightmare World." I'll use the same prompt over and over and get like 5 Nightmare World generations in a row. Then suddenly I'll get a perfect generation. I still can't figure out why this happens or how to fix it. A simple thumbs up/thumbs down button would help weed out Nightmare World (or explore it, if you want).
I've tried negative prompts, simplifying prompts, refreshing, and all kinds of stuff but I can't figure out how to eliminate this glitch. One theory I have is this is the AI equivalent of "sketching" - After several abysmal generations I'll suddenly, without altering the prompt, get one that's better than ever before. Like the animation upgrades suddenly. So then I'll just keep running it and running it and get a really good streak of beautiful animation. And then out of nowhere it will switch back to Nightmare World again. It's a very interesting phenomenon that really should be looked into!
I'm not sure what this will mean for Sora, but as far as I'm concerned, they've already made the perfect product, so who cares if they do anything else. Sora is 2D animation perfection, my wildest dreams come true. It should be left untouched and exist as-is forever. I only wish that Sora can one day be installed locally so I can train it with the carefully selected primo pieces of Sora animation from The Will Stancil Show, and push AI-animation to new frontiers.
