Grade ll listed India Buildings, Water Street, Liverpool and one of the city's later great buildings. Constructed in 1924-32 and designed by Herbert J Rowse and Arnold Thornely.
The prominent, monumental presence of the building was a deliberate design choice reflecting transatlantic influences. Historic England states that "Through its monumental scale, planning, architectural treatment and mixed use, India Buildings emulates the most impressive early-C20 commercial buildings of the US, and in particular, the buildings of New York City; echoing the designs of firms such as McKim, Mead & White".

The list could go on and on!!

I don't know exactly where this was filmed, it looks like a Mitchell and Kenyon film.
Although a lot of their work was filmed in the north they did travel around.
The year looks to be the early 1900s, and the film was going to be shown at the Theatre Royal, but I can't quite read the sign which says where.
A lovely piece of film showing the children of the town.
