The insistence to play the same formation albeit with different personnel could be Skubalas downfall here. We have only beaten teams in the bottom 6 and have just had to witness two home defeats against ordinary opposition without scoring. Alarm bells should be ringing

If Jason Knight thinks he is going to get a “big move” then he is deluded. So poor at the minute - no assists, or ability to move the team forwards. Randell better than him all last season should be in with Knight on the bench to reflect his future.

The game is won in both boxes is quite apt watching city at Southampton. We were really good in patches today but we will never win a game where we defend so poorly and are wasteful in front of goal. Jury out on Greenwood and Tickle

Fair play to City , strength in depth beginning to show as that’s two away games on the spin where the subs have made a huge impact. Felt we deserved the win

James Ellis is a hugely impressive individual. Has to be the best signing of the summer

Pre game I would have taken a point but post game feel gutted we didn’t get what we deserved. Had a lot of decent chances and it was a poor decision to give them a pen at the end. Both CBs excellent as was Cardines

Early season panic post. Millwall were fitter , quicker and stronger than us. We appear to have no style of play or identity and it was all a bit direct . Both CBs got bullied. Greenwood nowhere near as good as Horvat or Twine

Dear @virginmedia Why is it okay for you to offer a low price for TV/Broadband to a new customer but offer a significantly higher price to an existing customer for exactly same package? I have logged a complaint with your executive team and resolutions team but no reply yet

Superb from City today. Great response to the hiding we took last week. Horvat looks quality and we are such a better side with Atkinson in it. Rest him for the Cup and try and keep him fit for the rest of the league season

Life without Vyner off to a horrific start. I cannot remember a home game where the whole team were horribly out of sorts. The passing was abysmal , no energy outclassed by a team who started below us. It can’t help when you see so many team mates leaving for better deals

Adam Randell - pound for pound one of the best signings we have made in recent history. What a player.

Superb from the “transition monsters” today against a very good Boro side. There is a lot to like about our team spirit and work ethic which will take us a long way. Special mention goes to Dickie today who was immense

The proverbial bad day at the office for city today. Unrecognisable from recent games, particularly defensively. Vitek, Atkinson, Borges, Vyner, Dickie all woeful. The rest not much better. Need to restrict that to a one off and bounce straight back on Tuesday. Tough week ahead

How many times “it’s the biggest bit”? And “it’s one of those” don’t miss him at all. Utter fraud , he will be back in league two and starting all over again soon

City really good today , going to Preston and to pretty much dominate play and create 20 plus chances is more than impressive. A travesty not to win and I am afraid that was down to Mehmeti who should have 2 goals to his name today

A bit knee jerk on my part this but it’s so city to blow the chance to go second with a poor performance against a bang average side . Also, how does Pat Mountain survive every managerial casualty . Our set pieces both offensively and defensively utterly woeful today

That was a stroll today but we are yet to play anyone in the top 18 which has often been our achilles heel so shouldn’t be seen as a negative . Joint best GD in the division and one of 5 clubs left who are unbeaten . Superb once again from City

Manning promised front foot attacking football but it’s Struber who is delivering it. Don’t get me wrong we won’t win every game playing like that but we will be entertained

Rather inevitably we couldn’t follow up last weeks performance which was all about transition and counter attacking. Charlton were excellent in terms of work rate and organisation so we have to find ways of breaking those type of teams down. Atkinson a huge plus - superb

Superb from City. Three great goals, upgrades in Vitek and Riis, Twine and Tanner possibly with their best games too. Bird, Pring, Williams, Dickie to come back into the squad. Hard not to get ahead of ourselves watching that.
