I’m sorry, is this satire? Unless I’m mistaken, here are the webpages describing the sessions at this conference

Draft terms of reference for NHS England registry for surgical mesh implants was to include hernia. It may now just be beginning with pelvic mesh

The NHS ARE funding a registry for surgical mesh implants, as mentioned. We saw it as our duty as patient advocates to lobby for this industry independent audit
The original terms of reference document included hernia- if it’s excluded now that’s poor

The majority of mesh complications are absolutely not captured in the literature. This is the key issue.
As for politeness, I can’t tell you what it’s like to read of rude abusive treatment of hundreds of women by surgeons over and over again, for years. Here is a small sample

..in late 2018, matching England, I can’t see the SG referred to transabdominal mesh since in major documents
E.g in their Cumberlege doc, the SG conflate pelvic/transvaginal & don’t mention care for transabdominal mesh
This matters as these women are often gravely injured
It is ridiculous that 7 years since the Scottish govt suspended transvaginal mesh, they STILL haven’t gained a basic understanding of the different types of pelvic mesh. The SG response says mesh for POP was stopped in Scotland – untrue as transabdominal POP mesh is still used

Scottish female journalists, this is worthy of attention

It’s good this is happening. But it’s a disgrace that 7 years after the suspension of transvaginal mesh the Scottish Government STILL haven’t included transabdominal pelvic mesh in any of their enquiries.
This is the mesh type that killed Elaine Baxter

What the haemorrhaging fuck is this?
"Some patients experience strong pressure from extreme feminist groups to seek and maintain a controlling role in her life, over her destiny, and over the surgeon"
Yes, cos too many of you are patronising misogynists causing excess harm
