First hour of Mudwater: what broke and what's fixed 1. Site slow / looked logged out (22:00–22:25 UTC) Way more of you showed up than the database could handle. Pages hung, and some of you looked signed out. We upgraded the database at about 22:22 and restarted the servers. Page loads went from ~60s to ~1s. Your digs, banked finds and claims were never at risk. 2. Black screen after claiming The claim always went through and your MUD landed. The reveal animation was the part crashing on some setups. Fixed: if the 3D reveal can't start, you get the 2D jar instead. If anything else breaks, you get a Reload button, not a black page. Hard refresh to get it. 3. "Swamp closed" before the hour was up That's not a bug. Each hour has 125k MUD, and you dug the whole first hour's MUD in about 39 minutes. Digging reopens at the top of every hour with a fresh 125k. Banked claims still pay while it's closed. New: the top bar now has "Hour MUD (k)", the MUD left to dig this hour, so you can see the close coming. Thanks for the bug reports, keep them coming.
