HISTORY MADE! Huge congratulations to our incredible Girls Soccer team on capturing the PAC Championship with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over OJR yesterday! Talk about rewriting the record books—this is not only our program’s first-ever PAC Championship win, but our first time ever qualifying for the PAC tournament! The team capped off this historic run by setting a new program record with their 17th win of the season while racking up an astounding 13th shutout. A huge thank you to Head Coach Bret Smith and Assistant Coach Colleen Wolf for their outstanding dedication and leadership, and congratulations to all the players on an unforgettable championship performance!

Yesterday, Methacton turned orange for Unity Day! Across all seven schools and our offices, students and staff united against bullying to champion kindness, inclusion, and respect. Building on our district-wide belonging efforts, high school students launched a new initiative this year: The Belonging Ambassadors! Led by Michaela Zelli and Sarah Markley, this new student interest group was born directly from students expressing a desire for stronger, actionable steps toward inclusion. Teaming up with the Methacton Mentors, the group worked hard to design and decorate the Pillars of Belonging right in the high school's front lobby, creating a space that highlights what it means to feel welcomed, known, included, supported, and connected. Beyond that, they are sharing powerful anti-bullying messages on Warrior News and launching a new lunch buddy initiative to ensure everyone has a welcoming place to sit in the cafeteria. Thank you to everyone who helps make Methacton a place where every single student feel seen, valued, and supported.  Our orange is a visible reminder of a commitment we carry every day: Choose Belonging.

Last week, eight Methacton High School students joined peers from across Montgomery County for the kickoff of the 2026–2027 Dreaming Forward initiative, hosted by the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU). Dreaming Forward is a year-long student leadership and advocacy program designed to build inclusive, connected school cultures. Serving as "Dream Architects," our students are stepping into leadership roles—using their voices to inspire others, strengthen relationships, and turn actionable ideas into lasting community impact. We are proud of our Methacton student leaders for taking an active role in ensuring every student feels known, valued, and included. They are supported in this inspiring work by Methacton's Climate and Belonging Facilitator, Michaela Zelli, and Mr. Maida.

The Eagleville cafeteria transformed into a circus this week to celebrate National School Lunch Week! This year's theme is "Cafeteria Circus: Where Healthy Choices Take Center Stage." While our students dined on delicious and nutritious meals from Aramark, they got to enjoy the circus tent decorations—complete with a stuffed tiger! We want to give a huge shoutout to our food service teams who serve balanced meals with a smile every day! Big congratulations to Methacton High School’s very own AJ Maida on being recognized as a "Window Keeper"! Window Keeper: Civic Honors is a statewide initiative from PA Humanities that honors Pennsylvanians whose everyday actions help shape strong communities and sustain civic life through the power of the humanities. As a social studies teacher, Mr. Maida brings civics to life by showing Methacton High School students that democracy isn't just something to read about—it's something they actively shape. Whether he is guiding students to register their peers to vote, encouraging them to serve as local poll workers, facilitating thoughtful debate, or connecting them with communities beyond their own, he constantly pairs civic knowledge with hands-on experience. A massive shoutout to MHS Senior Lauren Springman, who advanced to day two of the Girls Golf Individual PAC Championship and made school history as the first-ever Methacton Girls Golfer to qualify for the State Tournament! Lauren will head to Penn State on October 20th and 21st to compete against the best golfers in Pennsylvania. We are incredibly proud of Lauren's accomplishment and wish her the best of luck at States!

Over the last two weeks, Methacton's Superintendent Dr. David Zerbe hit the road for his annual Bus Stop Tour! Every fall, he loves getting out into the community to greet our amazing students and families bright and early. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to share a huge THANK YOU to our dedicated bus drivers, who work tirelessly to keep our kids safe every single morning. A little rain couldn't slow down Homecoming last Friday night! The stands were packed in all white for our White Out spirit celebration, while fantastic performances from the Warrior Marching Band and cheer squad kept the crowd cheering. At halftime, we honored our Golden Ticket winners—outstanding students who demonstrate exceptional character, academic achievement, and embody our district's 9 core values. Though the scoreboard didn't go our way, it was still an unforgettable night of Methacton pride, tradition, and community spirit!
