adding to this, i've already stated that Yuhi isn't explicitly based on any real historical figures, but i can't help but loosely connect him to Nitta Yoshisada.
he was the head of the Nitta clan during the early 14th century and led the march on Kamakura.
they did this with help of their cousin clan, Ashikaga. they met their demise at the hands of said clan after they took power as the second shogunate. the two clans were bitter rivals, with long-standing resentful envy from the Nitta clan.
the Nitta clan was a samurai family who descent from the Kawachi Genji branch. they set fire to Kamakura and overthrew the first ever shogunate in the name of the emperor. they were later romanticized as being noble, chivalrous and deeply anti shogunate... sounds like someone eh?
