Before heading out to our beach, make sure to check the latest beach conditions at miamibeachfl.gov/beachcondit… A high rip current risk is in effect through Wednesday evening, along with a coastal flood warning. Rip currents are powerful currents that flow away from shore and can carry even the strongest swimmers out to sea. During these conditions, it’s important to know your swimming abilities and remember — When in doubt, stay out! Learn more about rip current safety at weather.gov/safety/ripcurren…

Moderate to major coastal flooding is expected during high tide cycles through Wednesday. Please do not drive or walk through floodwaters. If you must drive, reduce your speed to help limit wake and flooding impacts on surrounding properties and vehicles. For flood safety information, visit miamibeachfl.gov/flood-aware….
Major coastal flooding is possible across portions of the Atlantic coast today and tomorrow, with a Coastal Flood Warning in effect. Salt water can damage cars, and remember to avoid driving through flooded roadways!
