π¨ MANCHESTER UNITED FANS: WE NOW HAVE A LEGAL ROUTE TO CHALLENGE OUR OWNERSHIP!
The Football Governance Act 2025 gives the Independent Football Regulator statutory powers to scrutinise existing owners and protect clubs' financial sustainability.
Look at Manchester United:
π΄ Total debt and outstanding transfer fees reached approximately Β£1.15 BILLION in September 2026.
π΄ Historic borrowing remains around Β£578 MILLION, more than 20 years after the Glazers' leveraged takeover.
π΄ Another Β£90 MILLION was borrowed after June 2026.
π΄ Net finance costs reached Β£69.6 MILLION in the 2025/26 financial year.
π΄ Meanwhile, supporters face the consequences of years of debt, financial pressure and controversial ownership decisions.
WHY SHOULD THE GLAZERS AND INEOS ESCAPE INDEPENDENT SCRUTINY?
Fans should unite, compile evidence from published financial accounts, organise through supporters' groups and formally request that the regulator examine United's financial sustainability, debt exposure, governance and ownership arrangements.
Debt alone does not prove an owner is unfit. But the regulator has powers to investigate genuine financial and suitability concerns.
This is no longer just about protests outside Old Trafford. We have a statutory regulator with real powers.
USE THE LAW. DEMAND TRANSPARENCY. HOLD OWNERS ACCOUNTABLE.

Manchester United Thank you but i am done β
the only way our club survive is changing the ownership.
I'm officially signing out. #BoycottManchesterUnited
I'm a third-generation Manchester United fan. From my grandfather to my father, I grew up with the traditions, standards, pride and winning mentality of this great football club.
I've witnessed the glory, celebrated the titles and stood by United through the difficult times.
But enough is enough. I can no longer watch the club I love being dragged further away from everything it once stood for. No new manager is ever going to fix us only change of ownership.
My love for Manchester United will never die, but my support for those running it ends here.
Three generations of loyalty. And today, I've had enough.

π¨ JUST IN!
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has a clear path to take majority control of Manchester United from the Glazers in the second half of 2029. Under the clubβs $550m June refinancing, a βStadium Eventβ lets United repay those loans penalty-free from 10 June 2029; combined with the revolving credit facility expiring at the end of that year, this creates a window to clear the remaining Glazer leveraged-buyout debt and potentially shift it onto Ineosβs books if Ratcliffe lifts his 28.94% stake.
That would free Unitedβs balance sheet and unlock far more borrowing capacity for a Β£2β3bn stadium, for which land has already been bought. It still depends on the Glazers selling and Ineos (already carrying over Β£10bn of net debt) being willing and able to take on more leverage.
[@TelegraphDucker]
The only way to get them sell is not protest, keep walking out empty seats live television and keep pushing the boycott sponsors. Another thing is to stop the new stadium as that is why they hanging on to. They want to take more debt for new stadium and invite Damac as sponsor to the naming right. This has to be stoped we fans don't want a 100k seat stadium for them to make more profit.
Could February 2027 mark the beginning of the end for the Glazers and INEOS at Manchester United?
The Glazers have spent years extracting wealth from United, while the club desperately needs serious investment in its squad, infrastructure and future.
The financial situation raises a serious question: how much more can they extract without putting significant money back in?
Here's where it gets interesting.
Under the shareholder agreement, the Glazers have drag-along rights that could force Sir Jim Ratcliffe to sell his stake as part of a qualifying takeover.
Until February 2027, Ratcliffe benefits from a $33-per-share price protection. After that, the protection expires.
That potentially opens the door for the Glazers to negotiate a complete sale of Manchester United, including Ratcliffe's stake, without needing his agreement to remain.
Could the Glazers be positioning themselves for one final payday rather than funding the rebuild United desperately needs?
A full takeover is contractually possible. Whether anyone is preparing one remains unknown.
But February 2027 is a date every United supporter should have on their radar.

The unbelievable Manchester United PR machine keeps delivering spin by design.
Toby Craig, Chief Communications Officer, oversees the club's PR, media relations and public messaging.
Omar Berrada, CEO, carries ultimate executive responsibility for the club's strategy, leadership and communications.
Both should be held accountable for the constant positive narratives surrounding a sporting project that continues to fail on the pitch yet delivering Oscar nominated best scriptsπ
Fans want results, transparency and accountability, not another carefully packaged PR campaign.

This it's spot on. Chemical billionare playing sporting director I know best. Results don't lie and everything he touched turned to shit I mean all the Ineos sporting ventures. Absolut clown π€‘

@SkyKaveh absolutely DESTROYS Sir Jim Ratcliffe LIVE on @SkySportsNews last night:
βIβm going to tell you whoβs to blame for this situation at the moment. The person to blame is Jim Ratcliffe.
He bought the club almost three years ago. He bought 29% of it when the Glazer family put the club up for sale. He didnβt buy the whole club; he only bought 29% of it.
And by buying 29%, it meant that the Glazers stayed in place and Jim Ratcliffe got to run the football operations.β
Thatβs the original sin. He didnβt clean house. He just propped up the Glazers.
Then the arrogance of the man who thought he knew better:
βHeβs come in and heβs said, βI know better than anyone else how to run this club. Weβre going to do things my way.β And look what itβs turned out to be over the past two and a half years.β
The managerial mess followed immediately:
βFirst of all, he said, βIβm going to back Erik ten Hag. Weβve been chopping and changing managers too much.β Then he went off and started meeting Thomas Tuchel and any other manager who was available behind Erik ten Hagβs back.β
βWhen they couldnβt find somebody else, they gave Ten Hag a new contract and money to spend. A couple of games later, Ten Hag loses his job.β
βIn the middle of the season, they beg Ruben Amorim to come to United. He doesnβt even want to go there in the middle of the season; he wants to wait until the summer.
They pay a fortune to get him, even though he plays three at the back, a totally different kind of football.β
βDan Ashworth doesnβt want him. Dan Ashworth leaves, Ruben Amorim comes in, and they go all in on Ruben Amorim. That doesnβt work out. They get rid of him.β
βThey bring in Carrick as an interim. Okay, results are better. Then they give him the full-time job.β
And then the transfer policy that locked the club into mediocrity:
βIn the meantime, Ratcliffe has come in and said, βWeβre going to do things my way. No player is going to get paid 250, 300 grand a week here anymore. Thatβs not going to happen. Weβre not going to sign any players for more than 60, 70 million pounds.β
So Mateus Fernandes, Elliot Anderson, Harry Kane, Declan Rice, all these players, we ainβt going to be signing them.
And also, weβre only going to be signing players with Premier League experience.
And weβre going to sign forwards one window, then the following summer weβre just going to sign midfielders, then next summer weβre just going to sign defenders.β
So this is Jim Ratcliffeβs way of doing things. So he is to blame for this situation.β

A chemical business man who doesn't know football, bit knows money. Oh what a shit show
One of the main reasons #mufc have decided to keep Michael Carrick is financial.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe made the final decision following talks involving the Glazers, Berrada and Wilcox [@SullyTalkz]

Ineos have had 18 managers at Lausanne and Nice!! Theyβve owned Lausanne since 2017 and Nice since 2019 thatβs 18 managers at two clubs in under 10 years. Omar Berrada and Wilcox arenβt the common denominator here Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos are. Manchester United are already following a similar trend! If you think theyβve got every executive decision and technical decision wrong at all 3 clubs, Iβd argue maybe Sir Jim/Ineos are simply difficult to work for because theyβre clueless when it comes to football!
