The gap between having an idea and putting it in front of real users keeps getting smaller.
If there's a side project you've been sitting on, build it.
If you've never tried Laravel and want to give it a shot, we made a prompt for you to paste into your agent. It tells the agent how to get started with Laravel, and even how to install PHP if necessary: laravel.com/docs/13.x#gettin…

Laravel "hot take": over-engineering may be a real problem
Not everything needs an Action class, a DTO, and an Event.
If your store method is 3 lines, LEAVE IT in the Controller.
Over-engineering hurts readability more than "fat controllers."

Some great submissions for @LaraconAU so far 🙌
I'd love to see more talks in a few areas:
- beginner-friendly / tools-focused
- deeper technical dives (45 min)
- architecture and system design
- product and real-world decision-making

We've had a number of submissions for #LaraconAU so far - but we know there are more great talks out there.
If you're thinking about submitting, here's what we’re looking for 👇
The value that Shift provides is honestly _insane_ even in these new days of LLMs.
If you've never done a Laravel upgrade with Shift, you owe it to yourself to checkout @gonedark's amazing tool.
Cannot describe the emotional rollercoaster of realising my #LaravelHerd subscription auto renewal failed while I was at @LaraconAU and then the palpable relief of the ease with which I could fix that and re-enable all the Herd Pro comforts I am used to!
Thanks @LaraconAU it's been amazing! Having a sad that it's going to be a whole 363 days until we do it again!
This is an interesting take and something that gets lightly explored in my talk next week at @LaraconAU - I'm neither 'all in' or 'all out' on TDD
Super excited to be a part of LaraconAU again this year. Have you got your ticket yet?!
The response to this year's event has been incredible and we've already sold over half of our early bird allocation.
Don't miss out on your chance to #LevelUp 🎟️ laracon.au/attend

Ok Aussie & NZ friends, would anyone be interested in coming to a half or full day security workshop in Brisbane the week before @LaraconAU (i.e. Mon, Tues, or Wed)? 🤓
If there is enough interest, I'll start looking for a venue and figure out pricing, etc. #LaraconAU
The more @michaeldyrynda is posting about LaraconAU, the more pumped I get 💪. Can't wait to hang with y'all again in November! #LaravelForever #LaraconAU
"Last Drinks" call Speakers for php[tek] 2025 is open on Sessionize and I've just submitted a session! sessionize.com/phptek-2025/
YES!! Could not have said it better myself. And he still rocks up looking cool and on fleek!
Shout out to @michaeldyrynda . Pulling an event like this together is never easy. Upending it and moving it to a whole new venue, and going twice as big as ever before and doing it with style is something else. How he has time for everyone on a day like this is astonishing.
