Today, Stephen Hubbard is free and headed back home to his family.
Stephen is a proud American citizen, retired teacher, and U.S. Air Force veteran who loves our country.
Now, he is on his way back to a family who loves him, a President who never gave up on him, and a nation that proudly welcomes him home.
It was my honor to be with Stephen in St. Petersburg today before he departed for the United States. President Trump called Stephen to check on him and reaffirm his unwavering commitment to bringing all Americans wrongfully detained home.
Stephen joins more than 110 Americans who @POTUS has freed since returning to office, including Robert Gilman, Ksenia Karelina, and Marc Fogel.
This release was not part of an exchange - and we extend our thanks to President Putin for releasing him on President Trump’s request.
Thank you to @SecRubio, @JaredKushner, @CIADirector, Senior Director for Counterterrorism @SebGorka and the rest of the team for working tirelessly to achieve President Trump’s mission.
President Trump does not leave Americans behind and will continue fighting to bring them all home 🇺🇸.

"Stephen Hubbard and Family COMING HOME from Russia. Should have been done a long time ago by Sleepy Joe Biden and the Dumocrats!" - President Donald J. Trump 🇺🇸
The long-overdue release of Stephen Hubbard from Russian captivity is an answer to many prayers and a moment of immense relief for his family and loved ones. I commend @POTUS and his administration for their persistent efforts to secure the freedom of the last designated wrongfully detained American in Russia.
Idaho’s rural communities should not have to repeatedly face budget uncertainty due to tax-exempt federal lands within their borders. Reauthorizing the Secure Rural Schools program for three years begins the shift away from short-term extensions and secures essential resources for our schools and county services.
Idaho leads the nation in nuclear energy innovation, and @INL continues to power our country toward a clean, secure energy future. During Nuclear Science Week, I encourage all Idahoans to explore INL's hands-on events and virtual resources to learn more about the ground-breaking work happening right in our backyard!

To be clear, the financial services industry’s disturbing intentional discrimination of lawful businesses is not new. It must be stopped once and for all.
The @USOCC’s report provides clear evidence of political debanking and underscores the need for access to financial services to be based on objective creditworthiness rather than ideology or political preferences. I fully support @POTUS, @USComptroller and @SecScottBessent's actions to end these discriminatory practices.

The OCC’s supervisory review of debanking activities at the nine largest national banks it supervises found that these banks had policies that required, encouraged, or otherwise influenced banks to deny or limit access to financial services to Americans because of their political or religious beliefs or affiliations or their lawful business activities. Idaho’s sugar beet growers play a vital role in powering our agriculture sector and delivering natural, high-quality sugar to American kitchens nationwide. On National Real Sugar Day, I celebrate local farm families and processors who work hard to cultivate this essential commodity.
In Idaho, 34 of our 44 counties rely on the Secure Rural Schools program to maintain local roads, support emergency services and fund public education. My bipartisan bill extends SRS for three years to ensure these communities receive the reliable federal support they are owed. I will keep fighting to provide lasting certainty for Idaho’s rural counties.
Since coming to Capitol Hill, I have made combating cancer a top legislative priority. The MCED Screening Coverage Act is a game changer that will help detect cancer when it is most treatable, improving survival rates and lowering costs for patients and providers.
Idahoans value our public lands and the incredible outdoor recreation opportunities they provide every day. That is why I support the America the Beautiful Act, to address deferred maintenance backlogs and ensure proper stewardship of our national treasures. I continue to advocate for sound, fiscally responsible policies that preserve reasonable public access to our natural resources for generations to come.
Idaho’s farmers work long hours through every season to feed, clothe and fuel our nation and world. From potatoes and barley to dairy and cattle, Idaho farmers proudly produce the diverse agricultural products our for which our state is known. On National Farmer’s Day, I express my profound gratitude to the hardworking families who form our state's agricultural economy and heritage.
Mental health is an essential part of overall well-being, yet too many individuals and families face challenges in silence. On World Mental Health Day, we recommit to expanding access to care, reducing stigma and supporting those in need. If you or a loved one are struggling, know that support is available—reach out, check on your neighbors and remember that help is always within reach. bonnercountydailybee.com/new…
Participation in sports equips young women with invaluable life lessons in discipline, teamwork, leadership and confidence. I co-sponsored the resolution designating American Girls in Sports Day to honor our female athletes and ensure Title IX protections remain intact, so biological women and girls compete on a fair, safe and level playing field. I will continue standing up for female athletes across Idaho and our nation as they strive for excellence on and off the field. crapo.senate.gov/media/newsr…
Honored to be named to @NSSF’s 2026 Dean’s List for achieving a 100-percent voting and co-sponsorship record in defense of our Second Amendment rights! Safeguarding the constitutional freedoms of law-abiding Idahoans, supporting our firearm industry and protecting America's heritage of hunting and recreational shooting will always remain a top priority of mine. Idahoans can count on me to continue fighting for our outdoor traditions and constitutional liberties in the 119th Congress.
Know where your lawmakers stand.
