Dear @NFL,
I promise reading this will be worth your time.
My biggest passion is to lead others through the hardships of life to the best version of themselves, and I fervently believe football is the vehicle that will help me do that the best.
With 25 years of media experience, and over a decade each as a teacher and football coach, I know my personal and professional experience will yield increasing value to your team, no matter the position.
Put it this way: What is it worth to you to have an empathetic communicator with perpetual resilience and diverse experience on your team?
You may say, "Thanks Mike, but we don't see a fit right now." To that, I'd say, "You can never have enough good people on your team."
I have tremendous respect for what you all, and the people who've come before you, have built. I have firm confidence I can help the team grow even more.
As demographics, initiatives, contracts, and policies evolve, you will need a constant.
I'm ready to get to work. Today.
Boldy and with thanks,
Mike Fast

For @testudotimes, @JudeWilkenfeld and I were outside Jones-Hill House trying to get players to comment. An athletics staffer took pictures of us, and a police dispatch was called for suspicious activity; a cop and 2 cop cars pulled up, and officers ID’d us and asked us to leave.
If he misses this week, which is what it feels like will happen, Lamar will have missed seven games in the last year and a half. That’s 30 percent of games since the beginning of 2025. I’m not blaming him, but I’m saying the best player on your team can’t miss so many games if the team still expects to contend for a championship.
For the third year now, I’m asking the Ravens to please draft a backup quarterback so this risk can be mitigated.

Sources: Maryland coach Mike Locksley has been dismissed. Maryland dropped to 2-5 on Saturday after a last-second loss to Rutgers. Locksley is 39-54 overall at Maryland, including his interim stint in 2015. Maryland is on a bye this week.

In 2008, O’s GM Andy MacPhail said Tampa Bay removes the excuse that the AL East is “unfair” to lower payroll teams.
Last 20 yrs, Rays have 13 winning seasons, 10 playoff seasons & now 3 World Series appearances.
Last 20 yrs, O’s have 7 winning seasons, 5 playoffs, 0 W.S.
Of course. What could go wrong? @PhilBackert

Sources: Texas is expected to give an up-tick in first-team quarterback reps to redshirt freshman KJ Lacey Jr. this week in practice. Arch Manning still projects as the Texas starter. The uptick in Lacey’s reps is a signal that Texas could replace Manning if he continues to struggle.

#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.
Drew Lock to the Eagles has to be the leading option for Philly IMO. @RyanPaganetti
