Mike Lindstrom says his life was already good. A five-day water fast at 53 still was not on his BINGO card.
He is telling Scott Leese (@thescottleese) what the guests did to him.
Dave Scatchard and Ian Lopatin got real on the couch. Watching that made @mikelindstrom want to be more real with himself. Then one of Scott's guests, Nick Capozzi, got into peptides and longevity.
Mike is 53. He figured he needed more of that, and he has started. The fast is the newest piece.
People on the show talking about the work inspired it. A year ago he was not doing any of it.
The season finale is the rest of what the chair did to the hosts. Watch it below 👇
What did somebody else's honesty make you finally do for yourself?

Sometimes your Friday starts with a tire blowout and you end up burning a few hours waiting for the replacement, which leads to random thoughts you want to share in the hopes they help someone as much as they help you.
If you want respect, you need to stop asking for it.
If you want money, you need to be boring for a long time.
If you want to be heard, you need to stop repeating yourself.
If you want a good relationship, you need to lose some arguments on purpose.
If you want freedom, you need to be able to say no to money.
If you want trust, you need to tell the truth when it costs you.

Rich Berra got paid to stay home after Dallas radio cut him loose. That pink slip is how JohnJay and Rich started.
He went looking for a partner, not a solo act. Midnight in a New Orleans hotel lobby, other morning shows just stood there and watched them talk. Dallas paid him not to come in.
@richberra told @mikelindstrom & @thescottleese that a week later Houston did the same to JohnJay. Then a packed moving truck and a driver asking where to go. Cincinnati or Tucson.
They picked Tucson so JohnJay could be near family. First week, number one. @johnjayandrich Still number one 25 years later.
Watch the full sit-down when you want the rest of how that lobby turned into a career. Link below👇

Rich Berra ran War of the Roses on JohnJay and Rich. Then he bumped into the guy at SanTan Mall with his kids.
Christmas shopping. Rich's daughter is six or seven. The man they caught sending roses to the wrong person walks up.
She wants dad to tell him what he does. Rich wants the floor to open underneath him.
The guy says they busted him, it was already over, they probably did him a favor.
@thescottleese called it dodging a bullet. @richberra said bits like that can get scary.
The full episode with Rich, @mikelindstrom, and Scott has the other @johnjayandrich bits that followed them home.

Gabe Cooper says a software developer job is the wrong bet right now. Anthropic's Opus flipped how digital products get built, and the old team trifecta collapsed toward zero.
Developer. Designer. Product manager. Anybody can write code now. You may still want a person on the wheel. You will not need as many of them. And AI is as bad today as it will ever be.
If you walk into this industry now, plan on the job changing about ten times in two years. The skills that survive are not syntax. They are taste, curiosity, people, and who outworks the room. Knowing how to code is secondary.

If someone in your life is picking a major or a first job this year, send them this and then come back.
Would you still tell a kid to learn to code in 2026, or would you point them somewhere else?

Dr. Adrienne Adler-Neal does not jump to the deep work when someone walks in trembling and hypervigilant. The first job is stabilize.
She told @mikelindstrom & @thescottleese that can mean the basics. Safe. Fed. Sheltered. Nervous system calm enough to talk.
And that is also where she says medication is so needed, so the person can think again.
Then she meets them where they are that day and will not crack something open their system cannot hold just because time is up.
The full episode is where she walks that whole scale, from cannot function to ready for the real work. Check it out below 👇
When you were at your worst, did anyone help you stabilize first, or did they skip ahead?

Dr. Adrienne Adler-Neal keeps hearing the same fight about psychiatry medication. Either doctors push pills, or the pills are dangerous. She says both takes miss the point.
She told @mikelindstrom & @thescottleese does the labs. She looks at the gut. She uses the whole toolkit. And she still will not throw medication out. The win she watches for is not a quiet brain. It is a person who can finally sit in therapy and change their life because their anxiety is not stuck at an 11.

Paul Penzone says law enforcement has to reinvent the skillset. Too many cops are dependent on tasers and guns instead of talk.
"I could fight every shift. I don't wanna fight anymore."
"Just because you bark loud does not mean that person is going to abide."
"My fear is they're too dependent on their tools and not their own skillset."
He told @mikelindstrom & @thescottleese how cut his teeth in hospitality. No cell phones. No texting. You had to talk to people, solve problems, and care for them. He carried that into Phoenix PD. Back then there was no taser to hide behind. You put your hands on people or you talked them into the cuffs.
That is the gap he sees now. Tools got better. Verbal de-escalation got weaker. Society got louder about defying authority. Then the tragedies show up.
His answer is not more hardware. It is a different skillset. Manage the energy in the room. Verbal first. Best outcome, not toughest guy.
The full episode is the rest of that argument. Beating Joe Arpaio. Changing culture at the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. Body cams. What he would not compromise.
Watch the long conversation next. Link in the comments.

Talking about women in leadership. Susan McGalla sets a high bar for sure.
Susan McGalla once stood on the sidelines as a college cheerleader with the best view in the house.
Years later she was running one of the biggest fashion brands in America.
She told @mikelindstrom & @thescottleese about her new job at her kids' school that is rather unorthodox.
Ohio sports family. Dad a football coach. Two brothers. The winningest college football program in the country. And a girl who somehow turned that energy into building a multi-billion dollar retail empire.
Hit play and see how she went From Cheerleader to Fashion Leader. And catch the full episode below.

6' 8" @DanLierMindset was ranked 9th or 10th in pure athleticism on a 14-man scholarship roster.
He told @mikelindstrom and @thescottleese how he still started every game for two straight years on a team that went 70-5 and won back-to-back national titles.
The lesson he still teaches today is simple and brutal: hustle and a winning attitude make up for a lot of deficiencies.
That truth rewired how he saw sales, leadership, and everything that came after.

NFL Great Mack Hollins (@MackHollins) doesn’t chase deals. He turns most of them down.
Alexy Posner (his longtime brand manager) breaks down exactly why that strategy works — and why authenticity beats everything else when you’re building a personal brand that actually lasts.
Eating with his hands. No shoes. Mad scientist energy. Same guy on camera and off.

Just about everyone knows who wrestling legend Ric Flair is.
@mikelindstrom met him at a beach bar after hearing his trademark yell.
Alexy Posner (@alexyposner) met him at a cannabis convention in Chicago with Mike Tyson and Jaleel White

In trademark style, she mouthed off back.
Now she manages his brand.
That Philly mouth should get her in trouble. Instead it wins clients.
