My latest books on a modern theology of Lust and Porn and how they're not the same thing.
And my thoughts on how exactly the online church orthodoxy was fored during COVID, or rather the years leading up to the pandemic.

It’s worthwhile to play through in your mind the kinds of motivated reasoning and self-deception that might have led academics to work on this project.
It’ll help you understand better what’s going on at AGI companies.
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

I've noticed that much of the TGC and TGC-adjacent commentary is a kind of muse-driven sociology. They can't do philosophy or theology. They cannot evaluate or refute arguments. They read Charles Taylor (or about him) and think they can do theologized (vulgarized) sociology. So we get "predictions" and sociological analysis about groups they half-understand and consider too uncouth to engage with at the level of ideas.
Thinking for a second this will solves those problems is laughable.
Why are all their models attractive?
We all know why.
7.4M Americans aged 65+ live with Alzheimer’s. 16.2M older Americans live alone. Over 12M people provide unpaid dementia care.
Humanoid robots can help close critical gaps in companionship, medication reminders and daily support.
The human interface layer is key to enabling natural, emotionally engaging interactions that make AI more accessible, relatable and impactful.
Not replacing human caregivers or loved ones. Extending their reach.

Reminder,
Bethel Church gave the church a fake Bible.
When I exposed it as a terrible work (with tons of evidence) Kris Vallotton went on stage and said people who criticized The Passion Translation were "Stupid."
Then they made a video ignoring almost every good criticism against it, lulling their people back to sleep and furthering the deceptions of Brian Simmons.
Recently even MORE evidence against The Passion Translation has come out. It's actually shocking how much proof we have that this thing is a fake translation, a deceptive work, and a copy-pasted, reckless, delusion.
Yes, in response to this Bethel finally paused sales of the TPT. But it's not when THEY know it's bad that they responded. It's when YOU knew it was bad. Exposure, not truth, is what they respond to. They are not safe. They are NOT safe.
Don't let them pretend they are being persecuted.
I truly wish I had better news. I don't.

Every season, non-denominational Christianity encounters yet again their greatest obstacle: the Bible
And for the paranoid, what you're looking for is a twelve gauge with a case of federal black cloud and a full choke on the barrel.

About what?
Because the only Paul you have is the scripture he wrote. Is that the part you're disagreeing with? the divinely inspired scripture he wrote?
If they wanted to showcase that use they shouldn't have been chasing someone with it. We already have a familiarity of what happens when a drone catches you.
We've already seen those videos.
The people developing this kind of tech know their market.

Yeah, that is what came to my mind first when I saw this.

AH, so were getting hunter seekers finally.
Can you guys build shield generator belts before you do anything else. I feel like they will be important later.

The only vector for A.I. to be used by Christianity or the church is a replacement for every fruit and gift on the Holy Spirit.
"Or worse, why does he look like a tech bro?"
We tend not to think about clothing and what it symbolizes. Policemen, firemen, soldiers, nurses, all have uniforms that make them identifiable.
So, what about your pastor?
Why does your pastor wear a suit, the uniform of the commercial class professional, a businessman?
Or worse, why does he look like a tech bro?
It used to be that pastors wore robes. Today, we call them preaching robes, but strictly speaking they are academic robes. And when the pastor was the most educated man in most communities, it made a certain sense. It communicated that a serious, rigorous study of the Word was taking place.
But the “uniform” for the pastor is the vestment. If you are Protestant and think, that is a Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox thing, Lutheran clergy regularly wear vestments.
Something to consider when we think about what the “uniform” our clergy wear, is what message is being conveyed in the clothing they wear when performing their ministerial duties.

Coming, Not Going
"God cannot be worshiped rightly in any culture without that worship challenging and dislocating all idolatries. To focus on the right worship of God is to declare war, it is to throw down the gauntlet. This is because when we worship God rightly, we have ascended into the heavenly places in order to glorify the name of Jesus Christ. He is glorified in Heaven, and then we ask, in humble faith, for God to glorify His name on earth as it has just been glorified in heaven. This is something that God is pleased to do, and this is why we ask for His kingdom to come, not for His kingdom to go” (Empires of Dirt, pp. 247-248).
