I don’t ride bikes as much as I like but found this lovely 1915 Triumph last summer when looking over a 1916 aeroplane.

JUST IN: Perfume giant Jo Malone's son was reportedly behind the letter at Harvard that blamed Israel for the Hamas terror attacks.
Her son, Josh Willcox, is one of the leaders of the Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee.
Malone spoke out about the war in the Middle East but failed to condemn her son, as reported by the Daily Mail.
"We as a family are heartbroken by the events of recent days and strongly condemn all forms of violence."
"The abhorrent attack on innocent people on Saturday in Israel is beyond what any family should endure."
These students are now learning what it means to be held accountable for their own actions as a pro-Israel group is driving a truck around Harvard's campus, displaying the names of those who signed the letter.
I just signed the petition calling on the @GOVUK to commit to keeping the pensions triple lock. Will you sign too? you.38degrees.org.uk/petitio…

What have we become?
A parliament with a petri dish of policies to aid the super rich to the detriment of all else?
#MondayMotivation
The majority of the super rich not only want MORE, they also want you to have LESS.
The two are different things but they have come together in a perfect STORM right now to confuse and divide us even more.
So those opposing immigration (who aren't super rich) argue that we need to look after our own first, without questioning who (this cruel and corrupt Tory govt) is the real cause of the increasing and heartbreaking problems of homelessness, poverty, NHS crisis and money worries for most in the UK.
The right wing media supports it and so the voice becomes an echo chamber. Do they ever criticise this govt? Send me examples if you can find any.
Please don't fall for the lies 🙏🏼
The wealth of the super rich has risen 22% since the pandemic.
The number of billionaires in UK reached record levels during the Covid crisis.
Please stand up and be counted in this coming year. The next election is a critical turning point for our children and their children.
Please make sure that you are registered to vote x ❤️👍🏼

Let’s have a bit of clarity here, the French put these people up in tents, freezing in winter and with little or no facilities.. yet you want to bash a UK Government for wanting to put them in bunk beds on a barge or a barracks, fully fed and warm.
You people are twisted.

It was not without irony that when Beatrice Shilling helped the R.A.E. to overcome the negative-g Merlin engine cut-out problem in 1941 (work began in 1940 but was not applied in widespread use to Squadrons until 1941), there was sitting on a bench at Farnborough, the R.A.E. carburettor, which controlled the fuel flow according to a layout schemed by A. A. Griffith in 1935 which was very much like that used in fuel injection, and so was totally immune to negative-g cutouts.
The R.A.E. carburettor, had been studiously ignored by most of the British engine constructors in the 30`s as, as far as they were concerned, their own float carburettors were satisfactory enough, cheap and "proven" in large scale production & in service.
The irony being that it was Beatrice Shilling who had been chiefly responsible for the development of this negative-g immune carburettor since the late 30`s.
If the R.A.E. carburettor, roughly schemed by Griffith and Clothier at the R.A.E, and put into practise by Beatrice had been accepted for service, the famous restrictor would NEVER have been needed at all.
The major engine firms turned to the R.A.E. to save them when it became obvious it was a very severe combat problem. but only needed to do so because they had spent most of the previous decade ignoring the R.A.E. and by extension, Beatrice.
She should never have needed to design the restrictor.
After the restrictor was put into use, her Carburettor was put into production by Hobson, thereafter it was known as the Hobson Injection Carburettor and was fitted to large numbers of Spitfires later in the war.
Despite all this, Beatrice is still "known" for designing a washer which was only needed because everyone had ignored her, and the R.A.E., most of this all stemmed from very serious bad relations between what would become the R.A.E. and the British aviation Industry, from which, a lasting resentment never left, until Spitfire and Hurricane pilots started complaining about escaping Messerschmitts ... and then, very suddenly they (and Beatrice) were flavour of the month !
The story of the carburettor and fuel injection is one of the very few examples of extremely serious organizational failure in British aviation policy in the 1920`s and 30`s.
I hope the R.A.E and Beatrice start to be remembered for their REAL achievement in negative-g, the totally cut-immune R.A.E carburettor !
